"he's eating yogurt right now," soonyoung said to you. "s/n, say hi to your mama."

"hi mommy!"

"hi, baby. is soonyoung playing with you?" you asked as you left a store.

"yea! we played a lot!" your son answered.

"he's doing fine. take your time on your way back," soonyoung said to you.

"you're a lifesaver, soonyoung. i'll see you soon," you said to him.

"yep. see you soon."

the call ended and you put your phone in your pocket.

you had to work overtime at your job and couldn't pick up your son from daycare, so you had asked soonyoung if he could watch him for a bit. luckily for you, soonyoung had the day off and loved your son to bits and pieces, so he was more than happy to watch him.

since you knew your son was in great hands, you went to the grocery store and bought what you needed for the week. you were currently putting groceries away in your car since you needed to buy quite a bit. once you were done, you left the parking lot and headed home.

after a few minutes, you made it home and parked your car in the driveway. you took a few bags with you to the front door and unlocked the door. you opened the door and heard laughter coming from the living room.

"s/n, i'm home!" you called out and immediately heard footsteps running.

"mommy!"

your son hugged you tight, and you hugged him back with one arm since you were holding groceries with your other hand.

"need help?" you looked up and saw soonyoung, who had appeared from the living room.

you shook your head, "i got it," you told him. "want to stay for dinner? i'm going to cook," you offered.

"you sure?" soonyoung asked while picking your son back up.

"s/n, do you want soonyoung to stay for dinner?" you asked your son, who started to climb all over soonyoung.

"yes! please! we can play more!" s/n exclaimed while trying to climb onto soonyoung's back.

"well, you heard him," you said to soonyoung with a laugh. "i'm going to get the rest of the groceries."

after getting all of the groceries from your car, you started putting everything away and cooking dinner. your son and soonyoung continued to play in the living room.

eventually, you finished cooking and started putting everything into the kitchen table.

"baby, go wash your hands," you said to your son.

"okay!"

"oh, wow. this looks amazing," you heard soonyoung said. you looked over your shoulder and saw soonyoung looking at the table.

"aren't you glad that you stayed?" you asked with a chuckle while washing your hands. "want a beer?" you asked him.

"no, thank you though. i have to wake up early tomorrow for a schedule," he mentioned and went over to the sink to quickly wash his hands after you were done. "and you know how i am with alcohol," he added, reminding you if when you first met him.

"waking up at two in the morning with you at the front door was very interesting," you replied.

soonyoung groaned at the memory, "don't remind me."

"mommy! mommy!" your son ran into the kitchen and straight up to you.

"yes?" you looked down at him.

"can soonyoung come over more often?" he asked you.

you smiled, "well, soonyoung is a very busy person. you know how he dances all the time? he has to do that a lot," you said to him. "go sit," you instructed as all of you sat down at the table. "he'll come over when he can, but he has to work first before he can come over and play."

"i'll come over again, s/n," soonyoung said, "i'll bring you a souvenir every time i travel overseas, okay?"

"yay! thank you!"

all of you started eating with soonyoung helping s/n out when he accidentally spilt food.

"thank you again for watching him," you said to soonyoung. "he usually can stay at daycare, but they changed the hours recently."

"it's all good. you know that i love to hang out with him," he replied.

"hoshi," your son suddenly whispered out loud to soonyoung, making you raise an eyebrow.

"what's up?" soonyoung asked.

"are you going to ask mommy out on a date yet?" s/n asked.

soonyoung nervously looked at you and then back at your son. "shh, bud! it was supposed to be a surprise!" he said to your son.

"but i'm whispering, she can't hear us!" your son said, and you started to silently laugh.

"she definitely heard you, bud."

"no she didn't! i'm whispering!"
