Cheater/D Tier:
Tobias is in the cheater tier, like for real, he doesn't COUNT!
C Tier
Cross, I feel a bit of salt from the I Choose You AU.
Cameron and Ritchie...yeah...
Bea, she's a GYM LEADER, if Ash is rivaled by a Gym Leader, that's an issue! Also took the most amount of tries for a Gym Leader to beat or get a badge. Ash only lost to Brock twice because he forfeited, when he would've won the battle most likely!
B Tier
Trevor was gone for a WHILE, only battled Ash like once?
Trip, is just, insulting to Ash, like seemed to fully wreck him, at least the battle Ash got wrecked by Paul in, Paul needed to USE ALL HIS POKEMON via cheap switches every five hits!
Kiawe, Barry, and Hau aren't bad per say, they just need to improve.
Ash beat Kiawe ONCE in a battle after being champion!
A Tier
Sawyer and Tierno are good, but could use a bit more...
Gladion, he's amazing, I like the character, but isn't in S due to the rivalry being just about the Lycanroc vs Lycanroc.
Alain didn't make it into the S tier for one reason: He's overrated in my opinion, like the only reason he beat Pikachu was because he fought Metagross and Tyranitar solo before hand!
Here's for my S Tier
Guzma I don't think he should be here? But I had a rule I needed to use all the ones on the tier list maker. And is a real show of Ash's growth.
Kukui/Masked Royal actually battled Ash's Torracat, but the reason I put him in S is because he and Ash are close and were fired up for the battle being a full battle, which that battle is one of my top ten parts I love about Sun Moon.
Gary and Paul are tied for the top spot, they really push Ash to his limits in Johto and Sinnoh respectively.
