(Selena's POV)

Leonardo came barging into my room while I'm only covered in a towel. I opened my mouth to yell at him but he grabbed me and pinned me in the wall. Wrapping one hand around my waist and his other over my mouth. He pulls the curtains over us and looks at me, murmuring for me to not make a noise.

I furrow my brows, my whole body feels alarmed by the situation and I turn pale. His hold against me strengthens and that only makes me more anxious than I was a minute ago. He doesn't say another word and he pulls me with him, with making a noise. He drags me and I don't speak nor do I disagree anyhow with him. He opens a room on my big wardrobe that I never knew existed and shoves us both inside.

The space is small so he stays all over me while keeping both us hidden inside. "What's happening?" I utter.

"Thieves." He responds.

Like I'll believe that. Thieves are after money, you have money but who would come after you about money. And if it was about money, he'd never be so alarmed about it. I title my head to the side and look at him, not believing a word. I raise my head up to him and bring it so close that he backs away. "Thieves are usually after money. So, give them that and they leave." It doesn't work like that of course but I need to make him talk. Maybe this is my opportunity to make him speak up.

"It doesn't go like that. If they find anyone they kill them, afraid we may tell the police." Yet of course his isn't dumb and if anyone thought that that's how you make thieves leave. . . open a newspaper people.

"MsEmma!" I let out.

"She is alright. Tonight she isn't home. Her friends are holding an event and she got invited, so she'll be staying over there for a few days." He explained.

His eyes darted all over the door and me. Once at me. Once at the door. He looked like a mess, his hair fell all over his face. His eyes looked tired and his body lread to drop on the ground. He has now wrapped his fingers around my arms and he is holding real tight. His breathing is heavy and by the seriousness of his tone, he is anxious. This is no their situation obviously, yet I can't put my mind on what can make him out of all people tremble like that.

"What about Aless and Alice?"

"They are on a dinner with the president. He said he wanted to get to know Aless better and see what man his daughter left me for." Poor Aless. I have seen so many movies with people meeting their in laws and the anxiety. . . I could never handle that honestly.

I nod.

The footsteps are now becoming clear to my ear. Leonardo grips into me harder. He comes closer as well and I wrap my hands around his shoulders, bringing him closer to me. He snaps his neck at my direction, surprised and shocked but I simply nod and pull him closer. There isn't much space inside this room and we must hold into each other—I do not wish to hold him, of course—it is simply because of the situation.

Yet my heart. . . My damned heart. . . Why is it deciding to work on its own? This means nothing. I am not liking this. It is simply because of. . . his warm breath down my neck or the way he arms are now keeping me steady while gripping into me around my waist or the way my hands are wrapped around him and I can hug him like that. . . feel his embrace. . .

"Can you breath, Selena?" No. . .

He leans his head closer. "Hey! Selena! Did you pass out?" He whispers.

"I'm alright. Don't come so close though I may pass out." I act disgusted.

He pulls away. No—Yes—No—God! I need to sort my head out. I can't be thinking about those damn things at a dangerous moment like this. They could find us by any second yet here I am daydreaming like a kid. My heart and mind are never in a synch yet today they've gone mad! The war between them is finally happening and I can feel who is winning yet I can hear who also wants to win.
