Days after what happened to the duchess, the duke had been in constant summons by His Majesty.

But it was more like the duke had been constantly meeting His Majesty for certain reasons that only he was fully aware of.

However, one thing was certain for the duchess who was usually left alone throughout the day after enjoying a sumptuous breakfast with the duke – that the duke was 'investigating' who was behind the incident which happened on that night when the duchess was ambushed and attacked.

And for the time being, the 'investigation' was still ongoing.

But of course, they both knew and were clearly aware of who could be behind or who was certainly behind that incident.

Now, Atallie was tending to her garden of rare herbs and flowers.

She was particularly in a jovial mood lately, despite the absence of the duke most of the days, in which the duke himself was not particularly fond of knowing about it.

And today, that joyous feeling was more apparent.

"Madame, everything is ready. The vacant room, which is the one closest to yours, is prepared and cleaned," Leonor reported.

"Thank you," Atallie said as she handed another plucked out flower to Lila who was standing beside her with a basket full of blue and white flowers.

"May I know when your brother will arrive?" Leonor asked.

Atallie cut another flower, this time it was a white rose, "Mm? I am not particularly certain of his time of arrival."

She handed it to Lila as she continued, "But you do not need to worry. You all can just prepare everything and follow my instructions, especially the menu of every meal from today onwards when he arrives."

And that was right. Atallie's brother would soon arrive.

"Understood, Madame. Then, we will proceed with the preparation. If you will excuse me," Leonor said.

"You may go," Atallie dismissed.

Leonor nodded and left the green house.

Only Atallie and Lila were left alone.

Their flower-picking activity was yet to end.

"Madame, how many more do we need to pick?" Asked Lila. She noticed that the basket was already full. It could not accommodate another one or more roses anymore.

Atallie looked up from the bed of roses and fixed her glimmering amber eyes onto the basket.

"Now that I see it, I think we are already done here," Atallie said.

Lila heaved a sigh. It was about to be lunch time anyway and the duchess ought to eat at the right time.

"Put this away first. I will personally arrange them in my room," said Atallie.

Lila nodded. "How about Madame? Are you not done yet?"

"I am just going to quickly check on the inner garden then I will be going back to my room to change my clothes before I have my lunch," Atallie said.

"I understand. Then, I will leave first, Madame," Lila answered. She slightly bowed and made her way out of the greenhouse.

When Lila was already away, Atallie went straight to the inner garden where no one but her could go in.

She sat in front of her little table there and prepared a pot of dried flowers for tea.

This particular flower tea was the only flower tea that his brother could drink. For his brother didn't even like to drink any tea at all.
