Friday was a nightmare training-wise. Mr LaRusso would try to apologize, then get frustrated with me when I would focus on whatever I was doing at the time instead of him. He tried to grill me on why I missed training yesterday. All I told him was that I had trained on my own. I don't owe him an explanation. The whole situation makes me sick to my stomach. But tonight is for me and Robby, not Mr LaRusso, and not karate.

I carefully apply some deep red lipstick that really ties the whole look together. The eyeshadow I'm wearing is gold, so it matches my heels. I forgot how much eyeliner and good brows can make a difference on one's appearance. The last thing I do for my face is set it with a setting spray that renders me able to practically go through a hurricane and still come out with a full face of makeup. I use it for show choir so I don't sweat off all of the stage makeup, and I'm using it now because I have a feeling my face will get very hot, what with seeing Robby and dealing with everyone's reactions to seeing us together... there. Now I'm done with that, and I can get dressed. And my timing us perfect too, Robby should be here soon.

"¡Corazóncita!" I hear Abuelita call from the front door, "¡tu Robby está aquí! (your Robby is here!)"

My heart stops. Ay Dios... this is really happening. I'm about to walk out of this apartment and down the stairs and have my own little Main Character in a Movie Moment. Breathe Reyes, breathe... va bene. I'm ready.

"¡Voy! (I'm coming!)" I respond, grabbing my mini backpack with essentials like my phone, my keys, a tank top and shorts just in case, a hairbrush, more comfortable shoes should I need them, a protein bar, and some makeup to do touch-ups. I steal one last look at myself in the mirror. Floor length, rose red dress with a slit on the left side, fairly low v-neck into thin straps, material that cascades down my body but still shows off my figure... okay. Normally I think I look like shit, but right now? Hot damn. Ay! I need to go!

Abuelita gasps as I walk out to the front door.

"¡Qué linda! (how pretty!)" she exclaims, "look at your hair, mi nieta! How long did it take you to straighten it?!"

"Two hours and three minutes," I respond. I timed it because I knew it would take forever.

"¡Ay caramba!" she exclaims, which is an appropriate reaction, "he is downstairs, waiting. Se ve muy guapo (he looks very handsome)."

I blush. Of course he does, it's Robby. I grab the white rose I got for him from the counter, then return to Abuelita's side.

"I'm ready..." I say. She grins with excitement. I feel like I could run a marathon. This is so surreal.

"I'll go down and take pictures as you walk down. You really are mi princesa," she says, kissing the side of my head. With that, she takes my things from me, and scurries downstairs. I wait for her footsteps to reach the bottom, then take a deep breath... and walk out.

When I get to the stairs, I see Robby standing at the bottom, fixing the cuff of his suit. My eyes widen tenfold. Ay. Dios. Mío. His pants and button up are black, but his suit jacket is black with some sort of deep red design, a little darker in color than my dress, that gently reflects the dying sunlight. His hair is gelled back in a soft wave. And his eyes... as they meet mine, I feel my heart stop once more. He looks... perfect... I give him a small smile, then start my descent. Strappy, four inch stilettos are not good shoes for walking down stairs in, but if I can dance for twenty minutes and do set up and tear down in three inch heels, then I can walk down stairs in these. I practiced this morning just for this. I really wanna keep looking at Robby, but I also don't wanna twist my ankle by walking down stairs. That would be stupid. I finally make it down to ground level, locking eyes with him once more. That Look sparkles in them, causing me to melt.
