It's been two weeks since I went to school. Every time I'm at school, I miss Landon so much. But now, since Christmas is coming up, there is going to be christmas holidays in a week.
But since there's some trouble at school and there's about 30cm of snow outside, they extended our holidays. So I'm home now.
But today is a really weird day. It's only morning, and I can't find anyone. It's weekend, they should be here.
I don't know where everyone's gone. Just when I need them. I left Shadow in my room.
I've been through most of the mansion and there's no one here.
There's probably no one in the garden either, because I haven't seen anyone out the window.
There's also the basement. Even though I've been forbidden to go in there, I should go and have a look. Maybe someone is there.
I opened the basement door and carefully descended the stairs. Why does it smell so bad in here? It's pretty dark in here too.
When I came down the stairs, I saw a long hallway with about 10 doors on each side. But one door was open. That door was about halfway down the hall. There were noises coming from there, too.
I went to the door to see who was there.
When I was almost at the door, I heard someone growling.
"Kill him!"
And after that, I heard a gunshot.
I fell to the ground in a second because something heavy and wet fell on me.
I looked to see what had fallen on me when I saw a dead body on top of me.
"Cori!" I heard someone say, but I was in shock.
The man's head was shot through. I want to puke. I feel sick.
I quickly got up and looked at myself. I'm covered in blood. His blood. The blood of the man who was shot.
"Cori, are you okay?" Someone came in front of me, but I started to back away. My vision is blurry. I don't know who's standing in front of me. Tears start streaming down my cheeks.
I turned around and started to run.
"Cori! Wait!" The person started yelling.
But I kept running.
I ran outside. Even though I'm only in my pajamas, which are very thin for how cold it is outside.
When I ran outside, the cold air slapped me. But in the shock of what I saw, I didn't care.
I ran behind a tree and sat down. I can't even breathe anymore. I'm having a panic attack.
Landons POV
I'm at work right now. I'm here with Alexander.
Alexander's cell phone started ringing out of nowhere.
"Is something wrong?" Xander asked the person who called him. Strange that someone would call at this time. Unless someone had fucked up.
"WHAT?! THEN FIND HER! IT'S COLD OUTSIDE!" Xander yelled into the phone. Find HER? I hope he's not talking about my Cori. "Landon, we are in a big trouble." He got up and quickly ran away. I had no choice but to run after him. Together we got into his car and drove out of the parking lot. We're heading home.
"Cori started looking for us for some reason, because those idiots all went to the basement. And she, because she couldn't find anybody, she went to the basement too. But they were playing with Mason and he was trying to get away. But just as he was running away, Gray shot him and that's when Cori ran in." Are they fucking kidding me? I'm gonna kill them!
"Luckily she wasn't hurt, but the body fell right on top of her and she panicked and ran away. They said she ran out and they can't find her." They're assholes. We have to find her. It's freezing out there.
We're almost home. "I hope those assholes at least called our men and they're looking for her too." I announced to Xander. I'm worried about her.
"I hope so, we're almost home."
We made it home a little while later. We didn't even park the car and we walked home. We have to find out the situation.
We got home, and I gotta say, it's a mess. Unbelievable.
"WHERE IS SHE?!" Xander yelled.
"Shhhh. She's here, we got her. But she's afraid of us." Said Roman. I have to see her.
"Where is she?!" I yelled at him.
"Landon relax, she's in the living room hiding. Dominic, Vinnie and Gray are in there with her." I didn't even give him a reply and went into the living room.
I saw her hiding behind the couch, covered in blood. My poor little girl is shaking, why don't those assholes do something about it?!
I walked a little closer to Cori and she gave me a quick look. She's got puffy eyes, she must have been crying for a long time.
I tried to get a little closer to her, but she moved away from me and started bobbing her head to keep me away.
"No. Leave me alone! You murderers!" She started yelling at us. I need to grab her and calm her down. It hurts my heart that Cori's afraid of me.
"Cori, don't be afraid of me. Why don't you and I go to Shadow now and talk about it, okay?" I told her in the softest voice I could muster.
She looked at me for a moment. After a moment she nodded yes, so I didn't hesitate and walked slowly towards her.
"Can I take you?" I asked her. I tried not to scare her.
She was a little hesitant too, but she nodded yes, so I picked her up bridal style and slowly carried her to her room.
I would have liked her to take a shower before we talk. She'll feel better once she's washed off the blood.
I brought Cori to her room where we were immediately greeted by Shadow.
"Cori, you should take a shower. Can you do this on your own?" I asked her. Xander came into the room as well.
"Are you okay? My princess." Cori didn't answer at all.
"Come on, Xander, let's go get her a shower." Xander and I went into the shower with her and tried to wash as much blood off her as we could. Granted, we were wet too, but we didn't care. All three of us showered in our clothes. We called Liam to get us both some clean, dry clothes.
I thought Cori was in a trance, though.
After we washed it all off her, we let her take a moment to get into dry clothes on her own. It was very hard to get the blood off her when she was wearing bloodstained clothes.
Cori got dressed and came out of the bathroom on her own. We got dressed while Cori got dressed.
We sat Cori down on the bed where Shadow greeted her, but she was all the way over there.
