"Do you want to sit down? I'll finish the pancakes." I suggested she sit down and get some rest.
"That's okay. I need to wake up somehow." Cori replied.
"Then at least take the ibuprofen and drink it." I said and handed her a glass of water and the ibuprofen. She didn't protest and downed the pill.
I hear footsteps, someone's coming.
I turned around and saw Matteo, Gray, Xavier and Vinnie.
"Hey, Cori, you okay?" I heard Gray say. Cori turned to look at him.
"I'm fine." Cori said and turned back to me.
Gray, Xavier, Matteo, and Vinnie hugged her gently and she hugged them back. Such a cute family moment.
"We're glad." Vinnie said and they all sat down. "What are you making for breakfast, Landon?" Vinnie asked me jokingly. I gave him a murderous look.
"Nothing for you." I told them, so they got up and started making breakfast.
I finished the pancakes I'd made and loaded Cori up properly with fruit and whipped cream. "What do you like with pancakes?" I asked her.
"This will do, thank you."
"Are you sure that's all you want with it?" I asked her again. I want her to eat as much as possible.
"Really, that'll do, I can't eat it all anyway. But thank you so much for your willingness." Cori never has to thank me.
"Just eat your food, it'll make me happy." I said and smiled at her, she smiled back at me. Her smile can always make my day and I'll do anything to make her smile.
I went to load up on some pancakes too and left the rest for the guys to maybe fight over. I immediately sat down next to Cori and was happy to see that she had already eaten 1 of the 3 pancakes.
As soon as we finished eating, we went over to Cori's room to get Shadow.
But since I want Cori to be in my room, and Cori agreed, we first went to Cori's room to get Shadow, who was happy to go for a walk, even though he wasn't, but we took him to my room anyway.
I took Cori to my room where she lay down and I lay down with her. Thankfully Cori didn't put up any resistance, I hope she's not afraid of me anymore. My little princess.
"Why did you keep all this from me?" Cori asked me.
"Well, we didn't tell you at first because we wanted you to get used to us so you wouldn't be afraid of us. We suspected from the beginning that someone was hurting you, but we didn't say anything. But then so many things started happening at once, and we didn't know how to tell you. But we'll just protect you, we'd never hurt you-" Cori interrupted.
"I know, thank you for being there for me practically all the time. Thank you for being so supportive." I love that girl beyond belief, I'm sure.
Cori snuggled up to me even more, and I hugged her more. I love her so much.
"I'd do anything for you, I'll always be there for you. Whenever you need me." I snuggled up to her as tight as I could. She's a perfect fit for me.
"So is it true that you kill people?" Cori asked, lifting her head gently to look at me.
"We kill, but only bad people. Like rapists, abusers and other bad people." I explained. Cori put her head back on my chest.
"I'm still upset that you didn't tell me, but on the other hand, I understand." Cori told me.
Cori fell asleep after a while. I figured I could at least get some work done. I sat down at my desk and got to work.
----- 2 hours later -----
"AAAH!" I looked at Cori, who started screaming and crying. She's having a nightmare.
I quickly ran over and started shaking her to wake her up. And thankfully she woke up. But as soon as she opened her eyes, she started crying.
"Its okay princess, I'm here with you." I tried to calm her down somehow. I lay down and snuggled up to her. But she was still crying.
"Dont leave me alone, please."
"Don't worry, I won't leave you." I tried to calm her down. I held her as close to me as I could. I guess that wasn't enough.
I took her under her knees and lifted her on top of me. Her legs were around my waist and she was lying on top of me, her head practically on my chest. I hugged her again and she hugged me back. After a while she started to calm down. My little princess.
"Do you have nightmares like this too?" Cori asked me.
"I have them too, they keep me up at night. Sometimes I work all night just to keep the dreams away." I confided in her.
"I preferred not to sleep in London, too. Besides, when my step-father brought some friends home, they always bothered me, and every night I was afraid someone would come and bother me like they did." Cori confided in me. She's kidding. Now I can only think of one thing.
"How did they bother you?" I asked her.
"They kept touching me, hitting me." Cori answered and started crying even more. "They raped me a few times." Not that. This can't be true.
"Are you kidding me?! Why didn't you tell us before?! We would have sorted it out!" I didn't mean to jump on her like that, but I can't hold it in. Why didn't she tell us? We would have sorted it out.
Cori started to get up. I guess I offended her. No, no, no, no. I grabbed her and I pulled her to me.
"I'm sorry, Cori, stay here with me, please. I didn't mean to jump on you like that." I kept apologizing to her, because I didn't want her to leave. Cori relaxed again and lay on top of me, I just hugged her tightly.
But I'm not going to let that happen.
Alexanders POV --- They'll speak Russian, but I'm too lazy to translate it :D
"Leo, don't force him into some arranged marriage. Most of the time it's nothing nice, so don't force him into it." I tried to convince him.
"But you don't get it! He needs to settle down, but he's not allowed to fall in love. He mustn't be distracted by anything, like love." He explained it to me.
"You don't get it!" I shouted at him.
"I don't get it? I understand it all too well."
"Okay, I'll see you when you calm down. But believe me, Landon would be grateful." I told him and left.
