Naruto Uzumaki:Archer of Konoha

Chunin Exams Part 1

Team 7 made their way to the main building for the Chunin exams. Finding comfort that he had his team watching his back, Naruto's blinding smile calmed Shikamaru's nerves and Mito's overconfidence.

One thing Naruto noticed though, was Shikamaru's awkwardness around him. It was like he was anxious. He couldn't help but wonder if his use of the Kyuubi  scared his friend. When he talked to Yui about it, she said that it was that and laughed at her little brother. He asked what she meant but she changed the subject.

Arriving up to the room he noticed two Chunin were blocking everyone from going in. Team 8 stood next to them as they watched the arguments unfold. Sakura stood.next to Choji, "Idiots. Can't they tell it's a genjustu."

Naruto had to do a double take. Sakura was so different now. She had short hair with two long bangs coming down the sides of her face. Instead of a dress her old dress she wore a tank top with Anbu style gauntlets and shin guards. A black skirt with grey combat pants underneath. She looked deadly.

Mito noticed, "Sakura! You look great! You don't seem like the Sasuke fan girl that you used to be."

"Oh Mito, good to see you too! No he has his eyes on a different girl." Sakura teased causing the Uchiha to blush. "Shall we go to the real room?"

Shikamaru nodded, "Yes this is to much of a drag." Choji smiled at his friend, "Come on! It's not that bad, I kinda want to know if someone will fight!"

Sakura grabbed the boy and pulled him away, "No! We are going!" The boy pouted as he was pulled away. Naruto couldn't help but laugh at his friend. He really liked this new Sakura.

As both teams made their way to the real room, someone stopped them. "Wait! You are Naruto Uzumaki! Spar with me!" Turning to see a boy in green spandex, a bowl haircut, and massive eyebrows.

"Why would I do that?" Naruto smiled at the boy. "I am Rock Lee, I am a year above you. I heard your the rookie of the year so I'd like to see if you match me. The best Taijutsu specialist out of all the Leaf Genin!"  Naruto tilted his head, "I'll do a quick spar but you should know I'm a long distance and Kenjutsu specialist."

"Yosh! I will respect you are out of your comfort zone!" Smiling Naruto unstrapped his arrows and his wazikashi. Handing them to Shikamarylu who blushed as he took Naruto's equipment.

Before they started Lee noticed Sakura, "You are Sakura Haruno! Please go out with me!" Bowing to the girl. She laughed, "Please. Become a Chunin and we will talk." She huffed before walking over to Shino.

Both ninja smed as they performed the Sign of Confrontation. Mito activated her Sharingan to watch the fight. Shikamaru noticed and tilted his head, "You Sharingan?"

"Yeah! I have a feeling this will be intense." Both boys charged each other. Naruto deflected or redirected each attack the boy threw at him. Unfortunately for him, Lee was to fast and he couldn't land a hit on the boy.

Lee threw a kick to Naruto's head. Sliding down under the attack, Naruto used his forearm to cover himself as he attempted to hit one of Lee's chakra points. Before his fist could land he disappeared only to land a punch Naruto's back sending tumbling forward.

"Wow. I couldn't sense any chakra! That was all physical prowess." Lee grinned before dropping into a fighting stance, "That is correct! I cannot use chakra!"

Everyone was shocked, Shikamaru couldn't believe what he just heard. Naruto though was nothing but excited, "Wait really?! That's so cool! You must have some cool tricks up your sleeve then! I'll amp this up a bit then!"

Naruto used his chakra to increase his speed and strength. The fight became extremely hard to follow. Naurto's fluid style made him hard to hit while Lee's speed and strength was on another level. Naruto used his elbows to block Lee's fists. Taking the opportunity he punched Lee's chest. Before the boy could recover, he forced wind chakra into his fist sending the boy sailing against the wall.
