Chapter 55: Summoner Vs Elementalist

   

       Summoner. The least favorite mage class in Glory. A recent release class during the release of the 7th server in the year 2019 of December.

When players of Glory have to choose in mage class it would be like this.

Battle Mage → Witch → Elementalist → Summoner

Zhu Xiaoping, the first ever summoner to have joined the Glory Pro Alliance.

Towards this person, I could only feel admiration and respect for him.

While I am admiring Zhu Xiaoping and looking forward to his gameplay, my sister then muttered.

" Oh, the bench player.. "

Noticing my offended expression, sister Chao-Xin explained to me.

" Since his debut last year, there has never been one time where the Hundred Blossoms has let him out to the field to fight. He's always on a bench. This would be the first time everyone would see the skills of the ben– "

I shoot my sister a look. She paused in her sentence and coughed.

" I mean this is the first time that everyone would see Zhu Xiaoping's skills. "

A minute later after the host has introduced both players and headed to their playing booth, a map has been randomly chosen for their battle.

[ Crimson Field of the Slothful Maiden ]

When everyone saw the chosen map, most of the audience groaned in frustration. Even if I still don't experience the map since I haven't gone into any arena, just seeing the map for the first time has made me unconsciously wince.

" Seriously? "

Sister Chao-Xin muttered beside me.

{ The chosen map is the Crimson Field of the slothful maiden! Oh! Unlucky! Just plain unlucky! Red may be our lucky color! But in this case, it may have as well been the cause of many players' death. This Arena is one of the many troublesome maps in Glory! Everyone, let's wish players Chu Yunxiu Zhu Xiaoping good luck! }

Crimson field of the slothful maiden. It is a beautiful field of flowers. On the map, you could see that there was a ruined castle. It was a breathtaking sight. Metaphorically and Literally. The flowers on the field are red roses filled with thorns. The field and the castle are covered in red roses and their thorns.

Looking at it, I can see the Glory developers taking inspiration from Sleeping Beauty's castle.

With the thorns all over the place, I can imagine the players bleeding to death over this map.

While I was observing the map, the countdown to the match for the map eventually reached 0. Both of the characters started to move.

{ Both of the mage players have started casting their spells! Chu Yunxiu started casting her spells while walking forward in the direction of the castle while also losing her health slowly! The passive skill mobile cast allows her to move while casting spells. }

Observing the map and the castle, it is reasonable for Chu Yunxiu to head toward the castle. Compared to the flower field, the castle ruins have fewer rose thorns and it was unlikely there that you would bleed to death.

It was the opposite of the sleeping beauty where the castle is the one that was more likely to have more thorns than the place outside of it.

{ On the other hand, we have Player Zhu Xiaoping summoning a fire spirit. He was already planning to burn his surroundings. Player Zhu Xiaoping may have burned the rose thorns around him but it wasn't the reason why this place is one of the most troublesome in glory! He may have burned it but the rose thorns would grow once again. It was also the same for player Chu Yunxiu! }
