One thing was clear. Since Y/N had returned to Hogwarts, everyone adored her. She might not have had any clue why, but everyone was more than grateful for Y/N saving not only Hogwarts, but the entirety of the wizarding world.

Sebastian's lie had started off great. In Y/N's eyes, he was a nice Slytherin teen who had been friends with her before. He had started to successfully rebuild his reputation with Y/N.

His first nice gesture was giving her wand back. She was more than happy to have it back, although she seemed quite confused as to how to use it.

Unfortunately, Sebastian wasn't the only 6th year student who was interested in Y/N. While Sebastian wanted to rebuild his relationship with Y/N and turn it into something pure and positive, there was another student who didn't need to change anything about himself. Garreth Weasley.

Sure, he was a trouble maker, but most people saw him as a funny and kind person who would be more than happy to help you with your schoolwork - even if he didn't quite understand it.

Previously, Y/N and Garreth shared a kind friendship. She was happy to help him complete his potions, even if those potions weren't necessary safe. They confided in each other, and it was Garreth who finally got Y/N to admit her feelings for Sebastian. The day Y/N confessed her feelings for Sebastian, Garreth seriously considered brewing a polyjuice potion in order to make Y/N hate Sebastian so that she'd fall in love with him instead.

Garreth's feelings for Y/N were unmistakable. He found himself staring at her during Charms class, or when he caught her flying around Hogwarts, he'd often stop what he was doing just to watch her fly. She was an amazing flyer and he often wondered if she'd ever join the Quidditch team.

If what Natty said was true, Garreth felt like her memories disappearing was a new opportunity for him. He could grow his friendship with Y/N, and if he was lucky, he'd be able to capture her heart, like she had captured his early on in their 5th year. They were both in Gryffindor, so he stood more of a chance of dating her than Sebastian did, and he was pretty sure that Sebastian would resort to brewing the Amortentia potion, or some other type of potion that would have the same effect.

Standing next to Poppy, Garreth spotted Y/N walking with Natty toward Charms class. Natty saw the teen and smiled, quickly taking Y/N off their path in order to meet the other Gryffindor and Hufflepuff.

"Ah, Y/N. I'd like you to meet our fellow Gryffindor Garreth Weasley, nephew of our very own Professor Weasley. And Poppy Sweeting the most caring Hufflepuff that Hogwarts has ever seen." Natty smiled.

"It's nice to meet you Y/N. I'm also a brilliant potions master if I do say so myself." Garreth smiled, watching as Y/N chuckled.

"It's so lovely to meet you, Y/N. I am also the only Hufflepuff or Hogwarts student who is friends with a Hippogriff named Highwing." Poppy smiled.

Like Sebastian, Ominis, Garreth, Natty, Professor Weasley and Headmaster Black, Poppy was aware of Y/N's missing memories. Of course she was saddened by this, but she didn't care after a while. All she cared about was the fact that her friend was okay after the battle with Ranrok.

"Y/N, if you'd like, I can sit with you during Charms class. I can also help you re-learn some basic and important spells." Garreth offered.

"That would be lovely. Thank you Garreth." Y/N nodded, a smile on her face.

SEBASTIAN
"If you'd like, I can sit with you during Charms class." I mocked, rolling my eyes at Garreth's sudden friendliness toward Y/N. He had never shown this much interest in anyone before, so him being friendlier toward Y/N was suspicious, and I hated it.

Charms class was difficult, to say the least. I watched in disgust as Y/N sat with Garreth, who couldn't help but get closer to her every so often. By the time Professor Ronen dismissed the class, Garreth's shoulder was touching Y/N's and she wasn't bothered by it at all. One thing that made me happy though, was the fact that with Professor Ronen's help, Garreth was successful in teaching Y/N the Accio spell, which she was quite a natural at casting.

Everyone stood up and began to leave. Y/N was about to leave with Garreth, but I caught up to them and gently pulled Garreth aside while Natty walked away with Y/N. I may have pulled him gently aside, but my grip on Garreth's arm was certainly going to leave a bruise.

"For the love of Merlin! What was that for?!" Garreth growled, rubbing his arm as I let him go.

"What do you think you're doing, Weasley?" I glared at the red-headed teen, who groaned.

"I don't know what you're talking about, Sallow." Garreth scoffed.

"You know exactly what I'm talking about. Cosying up to Y/N. Teaching her a spell. Offering to help her. I'm not stupid, Weasley. You're trying to become her friend so that you can date her, and I won't let you. I lost her once. I won't lose her again." I made my intentions known and Garreth couldn't help but laugh.

"Really, Sallow? You think I'm trying to steal her away from you? You're right. I am, but the difference is, I'm going to succeed. You know why? I'm in Gryffindor and you're in Slytherin. Tell me something, if you're not stupid. What house is Y/N in?" Garreth asked, chuckling.

"I don't see how that matters!" I shook my head.

"She's in Gryffindor, Sallow. No Gryffindor, especially not a Gryffindor as smart and as sane as Y/N, would ever get in bed with a Slytherin as mischievous and as dangerous as you." Garreth threatened.

"She fell in love with me once, Garreth." I reminded him.

"I guess she did. But this time, I'm going to help her make the right choice. I'm going to prevent her from dating you." Garreth had never been this serious or threatening. It was like he was seriously trying to protect not only Y/N, but the reputation of Gryffindor.

"You're harmless, Weasley. You might think you can stop me, but when it really comes down to actually preventing her, you'll chicken out. You'll give up." I got close to him. I wanted to badly to pull out my wand and cast some...unforgivable curses on him, but I decided against it, not wanting yet another detention, or worse, expulsion.

"I may be harmless, but you're the dangerous one. I mean, aren't you the one who was stupid enough to not only teach her the unforgivable curses, but also teach her the most dangerous one? You know, the one that could land anyone in Azkaban for life, if cast?" Garreth asked.

"H- How did you know about that?" I was shocked. The only person who knew what spells I had taught Y/N was Ominis. He had been against me teaching her those spells, sure, but he had never told anyone.

"Last year, I spent a lot of time roaming around the surrounding regions of Hogwarts. You know what I saw? I saw Y/N casting the most dangerous unforgivable curse on trolls, mongrels, inferi, spiders, and even Ranrok's Loyalists! I figured that the the only person who would be stupid enough to illegally teach one - let alone all three - of the unforgivable curses is you, Sallow." Garreth smirked, clearly believing that he had the upper hand.

"I wonder how Y/N would feel if I told her about the unforgivable curses and then told her that you taught them to her?" Garreth questioned.

"Don't you dare!" My eyes widened. There is no way Garreth would actually tell her.

"You know what? I'm not going to tell her, because telling her would make my relationship with Y/N and in turn my victory, too easy. No. I'm going to win her heart like a normal person, just to make you suffer." Garreth exhaled before walking off, leaving me dumbfounded.

The fact that Garreth had the perfect blackmail but wasn't going to use it shocked me. Garreth was clearly not going to give up, but neither was I.
