"Here's your little gingerbread" I say while placing his cup of hot chocolate in front of him.

"Can you put it inside the cup?" He looks up at me with those wide blue eyes and I'm pretty sure that if he asked me to hand over all my money and belongings, I would.

"Sure" I chuckle placing the gingerbread man into the steaming cup, weird but I guess I shouldn't say too much, not when I'm thinking about copying him myself. "Luke would you like a gingerbread man too?" I turn over finding the little cutie right next to my leg.

He nods putting his fingers in his mouth, children are so weird, I hand it to him and watch in both amusement and horror as he begins sucking on the cookies leg just looking lost.

"Your name is Mia right?" Tobias asks and I nod taking a seat right next to him. "Is it true Bane is your boyfriend?"

I have to double back in order to wrap my brain around his question "erm, well yes me and Nicholas are together" I chuckle.

"Thought so" he grins almost proud of himself "I told all of my friends that I was spending Christmas with you both but they didn't believe me"

"And why wouldn't they believe you?"

"Bane is really big in our world, everybody knows him and everybody is scared of him"

I can't help but frown at this "scared?"

"We all heard stories, our parents use it to scare us to bed"

My chest tightens as I stare at him "are you scared of him?"

He looks up at me "no, my mom says Bane keeps us safe, that he's our friend" the cup he was playing with stop moving about as he grows still "what do you think"

"Well I don't know who I could possibly trust more with my life than Nicholas himself, whatever stories you've heard about him I'm sure people only made to benefit themselves" I say taking a deep breath in "plus, don't tell anyone this but he's terrified of snowmen"

His large eyes dart to me "what?"

"Oh yes he's terrified of them, especially when they're dressed up in all sorts of hats and scarfs, he could cry" I grin.

He giggles at this and Luke copies, "there's no way he's scared of snowmen"

"Well I'll tell you what, while we're gone why don't you all build as many snowman's as you can and when we get home you can all scare him" I shrug.

"Deal"

I smile as he takes a sip of the hot chocolate.

"Mia?" I spin around finding Grace and Nicholas standing right behind me.

"Oh Grace I probably should've asked if they were allowed-"

"Don't be silly it's alright, I'm just making sure they haven't taken you down yet with all that energy they somehow always have"

"Oh no no they're lovely"

"I heard that the twins are here"

"Yeah Scarlet and Aiden, I think they're upstairs with the nanny, if you want I can take you there"

"No it's okay I'll find it, plus this one wants to talk" she point to Nicholas with her eyes as she grins "come on you two, let's meet some new friends" as they all run out the room I wait for Nicholas to look back at me.

"So" I sigh leaning back onto the table.

"Snowmen, really?" He grins shaking his head.

"That wasn't for you to hear but yes, you are now officially scared of snowmen and I expect the best performance of your life when we get back"
