I was cleaning a patient's wounds while Hunt was updating Torres. We ended up taking the patient to the OR.

"Get another unit of packed cells, meet me in the O.R," Callie said to a nurse.

"Right away," The nurse said rushing off as Addison, Arizona and Alex arrived with another patient in a gurney.

"We need the O.R.," Arizona said.

"Well, we need it, too. We're already on our way," Callie said.

"There's only one O.R. prepped this time of night," Arizona said.

"Which is why we need it," Callie said.

"Mine's got a subdural," Arizona said.

"50 broken bones," Callie said.

"Stroke in the womb!" Arizona said. We nearly hit a nurse as she came out of the nurse's office.

"All right, uh, get another O.R. ready now," Callie said.

Callie and I walked down the hallway on the peds floor carrying cups of coffee. Addison and Arizona stood talking.

"Hey, I brought you some coffee," Callie said."Oh, you already have one,"

"Oh, no. We want your coffee," Arizona said.

"We need your coffee," Addison said taking the cup off me. She kissed my cheek. Owen walked towards us.

"Okay, when you see Cristina, she is gonna be mad. She's gonna be mad at me for not paging her in here last night, possibly mad at you for not waking her up either. Now I am handling this. Do not engage her. Do not provoke her. Simply ignore her, all right?" Hunt said.

"Oh, that's your plan ... ignore the scalpel-hungry animal?" Callie asked.

"Yep, until I come up with something better," Hunt said.

"Would you prefer a military funeral or a traditional funeral when she kills you?" I said. Callie chuckled. "I'll tell Teddy to call your mom," Owen shook his head.

"Come on you're on peds rotation today," Arizona said to me. "So child friendly jokes," Arizona, Callie, Owen and I walked over to Jackson, Cristina and Charles.

"Okay, I know this is the first time on a Peds rotation with me for some of you. Not for others. But I wanted you to understand that I run my Peds unit a little differently than you may be used to. This is not general surgery in miniature. These are the tiny humans. These are children. They believe in magic. They play pretend. There is fairy dust in their I. V. bags. They hope and they cross their fingers and they make wishes. And that makes them more resilient than adults. They recover faster and survive worse. They believe. In Peds, we have miracles and magic. In Peds, anything is possible," Robbins said. We walked to the first patient's room. Another patient would who would come on rounds was standing waiting for us wearing his lab coat and scrubs.

"Morning, Dr. Robbins," Wallace said. "Dr Sloan,"

"Good morning, Dr. Wallace. I see that you've already introduced yourself to Mr And Mrs Boyd," Dr Robbins said.

"Yes, reminds me of Hillary at that age. Such an overachiever," Mrs Boyd said.

"Dr Yang, why don't you present?" Callie asked.

"Excuse me, little ... doctor boy," Cristina lightly pushed the boy away.

"Uh, Hillary Boyd, 15 years old, fell off the roof of her house. 52 acute fractures were diagnosed when she was admitted last night. An intricate and extremely challenging OIF surgery was performed by Dr Torres, Dr Sloan and Dr Hunt this morning before rounds," Cristina said looking at the chart.

"Thank you, Dr. Yang," Hunt said.

"If she fares well enough today, I'd like to go in tomorrow to repair her subtrochanteric fracture next," Callie said.

"Can anyone tell me the proper dosage of ceftriaxone for a pediatric patient?" Dr Robbins asked.

"50 milligrams per kilogram per day," Jackson and I said.

"And, Dr Wallace, can you tell me the proper dose for this patient if she were 42 kilograms?" Dr Robbins asked. Wallace quickly worked out on his clipboard.

"2. 1 grams per day if you carry the decimal," Wallace said. We continued to round on patients.

I was in the pit after Robbins sent me down to meet a patient that had come in on an ambulance.

"Hey, I'm here from Peds," I said to the nurse.

"Bed 4," The nurse told me as I snapped on a set of gloves. I walked over to bed 4. Jacob was laying on the bed with Jen sitting beside him.

"What are you doing back here champ?" I asked. He didn't say anything.

"I was at the house to do a check-in with Jacob. I found him on the floor curled up in pain," Jen said.

"My leg," Jacob said. I looked at his leg. He had cuts on his leg.

"Okay, Jacob. You know how this goes. I'm gonna admit you," I said.

"Will I see Dr Torres?" Jacob asked.

"Yep. Right after we get you set upstairs," I said.

I got Jacob into a room. He was settling in while I was stood outside. Jen was pacing back and forth on the phone before she walked over.

"Who did this to him?" I asked.

"You know I can't tell you," Jen said.

"If you need to go we've got him," I said. "Torres is in the OR right now but then we're gonna get him all good,"

"You know how to do your job Sage I don't doubt that," Jen said. "I'm gonna sit with him a little while longer,"

"Okay. I'm gonna go speak to Torres," I said.

Timeskip-3rd Person POV

Addison was sat in the break room with Sage who had fallen asleep on her lap. Callie and Arizona walked in.

"I need Sage," Arizona said. "I'm about to operate on Wallace and I need my best resident on this,"

"I need to talk to Sage about why she paged me," Callie said. They both saw Sage asleep in Addison's lap.

"Sage paged you because she admitted Jacob this afternoon. He's complaining of leg pain and his chart is on the table," Addison said. "She wants you to do a consult on him,"

"Wait she admitted the patient I sent her down the pit to treat?" Arizona asked.

"Yeah. Jacob is an old patient of ours," Callie said before walking out.

"Want me to wake her up for you?" Addison asked.

"No," Arizona said.

Timeskip-Sage's POV

I was sitting beside Alex who was holding his patient to his chest.

"Bailey told me I'd be good in peds," Alex said.

"I see it. We could do peds together," I said.

"I thought trauma has your heart," Alex said.

"It does but I'm thinking of double boarding between trauma and neonatal but to do neonatal I've gotta do peds," I said.

Addison and I got into bed after putting the boys to bed. Everett was already sleeping in his crib.

"I'm gonna say something pretty outrageous and you can tell me no. What would you say to us fostering Jacob?" I asked.

"I think that we've got the space and we could help him but I think this is something we should also include the boys in," Addison said.

"I agree," I said.
