You sprint into the woods behind your house, until the screams are just a distant echo. Following a familiar trail, you journey to your friend Emily's family's house, cautiously, suspecting it's possible that they've been turned into zombies just like your family. Within twenty feet of the house, you hear a scream, followed by a gunshot, followed by a sob. You crouch behind a tree, but keep your eyes on the house.
"I can see you, moron." A voice you recognize as Emily's younger sister, Violet, sobs. "Don't go in there. Emily's dead." She chokes out.
Violet is a tall, slender girl of seventeen. Sweaty dark brown hair is plastered to her forehead, underneath which are tear-filled light blue eyes.
She walks to the car, before turning to face you. "Well, are you coming?"
