"Daddy! Daddy!" My son's familiar voice yells as he runs into my office.

"What's wrong?" I ask.

"Mommy is crying!"

My eyes widen at his words.

I quickly exit my office and make my way up to our bedroom.

"Sahar!" I call out.

"In here!" She says, her voice cracking a bit.

Leo and I immediately rush into the bathroom.

"What happened?" I ask frantically.

She doesn't say anything, she just points to a towel laying on the counter.

Oh god, is this another cockroach?

I quickly lift up the towel but instead of seeing a nasty brown insect, I see a pregnancy test.

A positive pregnancy test.

"Wait-"

"SURPRISE!" Sahar and Leo yell.

"You're pregnant?" I ask, still trying to process everything.

"That is what's written on the stick, isn't it?" She chuckles.

I immediately put the stick back on the counter and pull her in for a hug.

We've been trying for awhile but every test was coming out as negative.

Until now apparently.

"You're gonna be a dad...again!" She laughs.

"And you are gonna be a big brother." I tell Leo.

He cheers happily and I quickly lift him in my arms.

"Do you want to have a brother or sister?" Sahar asks him.

"I'm not picky." He shrugs and we laugh.

God, these last few years have been incredible.

After graduating college, I proposed to Sahar.

We were in Iceland looking at the northern lights and I figured why not make the night even more memorable.

Our wedding was small and intimate.

We waited about a year before we tried to have kids.

It didn't take long for her to get pregnant with Leo.

Leo was by far the easiest baby I've ever been around.

He barely cried as a baby, he was constantly happy, and loved when we read to him.

The only time he would throw a fit is when we put him to sleep but then again which kid enjoys going to bed.

Sleep is more enjoyable as you get older and your stress increases.
