Chapter seventy-four | The Death of Spider-Woman

—THE DOCTOR'S HANDS WERE COVERED IN BLOOD. But his face was almost... emotionless. He didn't know what to feel. But it was between two emotions. Sadness... and full-on anger. River had to stop him from shouting, maybe even killing, that man. Eve was gone. His Eve was gone.

But he was missing something. Something extraordinary...

.

Eve could feel.

She felt her finger twitch. Which was unusual... due to the circumstances. Then her hand. Soon it was her arms. Then all of a sudden she shot up with a gasp. Her clothes were soaked with blood but there were no stab wounds in sight. She looked at her arms then her stomach and legs but nothing. "I must have passed out." She thought. Slowly, she reached up to her forehead when a massive headache erupted.

"For fuck sake.." she muttered before looking around. Where the fuck was she? "Where am I..?"

"You're awake." A woman's voice echoed making Eve sit up straight.

"Hello?" Her voice echoed in the darkroom as she stood up.

"Evangeline Parker." The voice spoke making Eve look around confused. "You aren't from this universe, are you? No, no, you're from Earth 199999. You're from New York, so what are you doing here?"

"I don't fucking know." Eve shrugged before crossing her arms. "Since you know so much, why don't you tell me?"

The voice chuckled and that's when a slam echoed out. Soon enough, the lights turned on and Eve noticed she was in a room that looked a lot like a prison cell. "What the fuck...?" Her voice echoed.

There was a woman on the other side of the room. She wore mostly black with an eyepatch on her right eye. On her face was a smirk. She walked forward but stopped only a few feet in front of her original spot. "Hello, Miss Parker."

"Who are you? Where am I? And where the fuck is the Doctor?" Eve practically screamed as she walked closer to the woman. All of a sudden, she stepped too close and something sent a shock through her body. "Jesus!" She cried out as she was practically sent flying back.

There was a small chuckle that came from the woman. "Silly girl, that could have killed you... if it weren't for the electricity running through your veins and those two hearts of yours."

"You bastard." Eve glared up at the woman as she sat up.

The woman tutted. "Do you know why you're here, Miss Parker?" Eve didn't respond, not having a clue why she was. "Gone silent now, have you?" No response. "You're here for one reason and one reason only."

Eve tilted her head at the woman. "And... why is that?" She asked hesitantly.

"You're very precious to the Doctor." She slowly spoke. "Some would even say... you're his most precious thing."

"What does any of this have to do with the Doctor?" Eve asked with slight anger. "What do you mean?" The brunette slowly came to a stand. There was no answer.

There was a loud bang as the door beside the woman opened up. A small group of, what Eve guessed were, soldiers came walking in. The woman and the main guy in the group shared a glance before she spoke. "Take her."

Eve looked at them all frantically as the men disabled the wall, grabbing Eve. "What?!" She tried her best to break free. They paused for a second as Eve shouted. "Who are you?"

The woman chuckled lightly. "I'm Madame Kovarian." She spoke shortly before turning to the guard. "Get all the information you can out of her. Do what ever it takes to get it."
