You woke up late in the morning the next day to the smell of breakfast; bacon with notes of pancake and syrup. You quickly got dressed and headed to the table.

Dean and Sam were sitting next to each other eating when you walked out. Upon seeing you, Dean elbowed his brother and said, "See? Told you the bacon would do it."

Sam rolled his eyes.

"Do what?" you asked, taking a seat.

"Wake you up," Dean grinned.

You shrugged. "Fair." Then you filled a plate.

Dean huffed a laugh.

"How'd you sleep?" Sam asked.

"Good," you answered after a bite. "I saw Joshua."

Both brothers waited for you to continue, so you added, "Apparently Naomi isn't in a good place mentally. Things are a little chaotic up there at the moment, but he didn't sound worried so I guess we don't need to be."

"I'll take it," Dean said before biting off a piece of bacon.

You nodded.

"And he's okay?" Sam asked.

"Yep, just has a lot of work to do in the garden, I guess."

You all went back to eating until Dean finished his plate. He filled a new one and walked over to deliver it to Bobby, who sat at his desk. The mug there had been filled with fresh coffee that was steaming when you glanced over.

"Here Bobby," Dean set down the plate. "You, uh, haven't heard anything from Cas, have you?"

You glanced at Sam, who glanced at you.

"I knew he'd eventually get over it," you said quietly.

Sam grinned. "Yeah, they seem alright now."

Bobby said he hadn't and you went back to eating. Your brows furrowed as you thought about how long it had been since you'd heard from Cas or Gabe. You wondered what exactly the two of them had talked about.

"What's wrong?" Sam asked.

"Hm?" you looked up at him. "Oh, nothing."

Bobby finished his breakfast and then spent the rest of the day in his garage working. Sam continued his own research and Dean wandered out to help Bobby in the garage. You found yourself reading the book on the Fates you found a while ago. Dean came back inside around dinner time to make a sandwich when his phone rang.

He held the phone to his ear and answered, "Hello?"

You heard muffled speaking on the other end.

"Wait, who is this?" Dean's brows drew together in confusion.

Some more speaking, and then Dean said, "Oh, yeah. How are you doing, Garth?" His eyes looked over at you.

Your eyebrows rose as you recognized the name.

"Yeah?" Dean went on. "Alright, we'll meet you out there."

"Garth?" Sam asked after Dean hung up.

"Yeah, he helped with the demon thing– well, you were married so..." Dean's slight frown turned into a smirk.

"I got it, shut up," Sam frowned.

You laughed. "What did Garth need?"

"There's something going on in Junction City, Kansas. Two guys found dead, both had been drinking, both ripped apart in the woods."
