"I hate you! How can you tell mom about the test!?? You're really nosy, you know!"

Kiara was really furious at her cousin, that little bitch told her mother about the test, well not exactly him but his mother, her aunt told her mom about the test. And God it was only a test not an exam.

Her mother literally gave her the longest lecture she has ever, I mean ever heard. Her mood was already ruined just a little more push and she will explode. Her cousin scrunched his face, "I didn't, mom did," he said in his defense. "And I have to tell her about the test, and I swear she forced me to tell her about your marks."

She rolled her eyes at his explanation, come on she already knew her aunt always looks for opportunities to let her down.

"Yeah, right!"

"I swear-"

"Okay! I got it, you don't have to explain again and again, the damage is done already.... Let's just go now, we're already late" she started walking fast, leaving him behind.

Once they reached Dhruv's house, Kiara rang the doorbell and waited for someone to open the door. Dhruv who just got out of the shower heard the doorbell ring, he stopped rubbing his wet hair with the towel and placed it on the couch before heading towards the main door.

He opened it, Kiara was standing in front of him but her eyes were glaring at her side. He glanced at her side to see Vikram, nervously standing there.

"What's up with you two? Why are you so silent today? Strange." He asked and his eyes looked at Kiara for an answer but she just ignored it and straight went inside the study room. He frowned but let it go, thinking maybe she was having a bad day.

Vikram followed behind smiling awkwardly at him, "hi bhaiya," he greeted him before running towards the study room almost tripping on the way. Dhruv shook his head at his students, so weird.

"So that's it for today, also I'll take a test tomorrow. Be prepared, especially Kiara. Your performance is not satisfactory yet..." he said, closing the book and giving it back to Vikram. Kiara just gave him a tight smile and nodded her head while showing him a thumbs up.

She was about to leave but the thought of giving Vikram a punch suddenly came to her mind, and why not! That sneaky little bitch is being so nosy... she got a little closer to him. Vikram didn't notice her as he was busy putting the books inside his bag.

Kiara took the opportunity and gave a bone crushing punch at his back, well it was bone cursing for her... Vikram let out a hurtful howl, his eyes immediately glared at her, Dhruv was staring all this shit with his eyes wide open, he glanced at Kiara who was having a proud smirk on her face.

Vikram let go of his book and was about to go near her but Dhruv was fast even to hold him in place, "who asked you to leave? Put your books inside first," he said, his voice calm. Kiara let out a chuckle before leaving the room.

"Bhaiya, she hit me on the back! Please let me go. I'll buy you samosa tomorrow, please."

Dhruv thought for a moment well Kiara was wrong here, she was the first to provoke Vikram but he can't just let him hit her, she's a girl.

"Okay, two samosas and also hit her slightly, not too hard, okay?"

"Fine!! Now let me go" Dhruv let go of him and Vikram rushed out of the room, determined to teach Kiara a lesson. Meanwhile, Dhruv couldn't help but chuckle at the situation. He knew Kiara is quite mischievous, but he also knew that Vikram had a way of butting into other people's business.

As the next day arrived, the test papers were ready. Dhruv started distributing it, he saw Kiara a little nervous so he thought to tease her a little to lighten her mood a little, "it looks like Kiara needs some extra motivation for the test, doesn't she?" he said with a mischievous grin.

Kiara shot him a playful glare and replied, "Oh please, I don't need your so-called motivation. I'll ace this test without it!"

Dhruv chuckled and handed her the test paper. "We'll see about that," he said, before moving on to distribute the rest of the papers.

As Kiara started working on her test, she couldn't help but feel disappointment wash over her, not a single question was common to her, she somehow tried to give it her all.

After what felt like an eternity, the test finally ended. Dhruv collected the papers, and he started checking them all. He decided to start with Kiara after checking her paper he was disappointed not at her but at him as well.

He handed her the paper with a normal look and said, "Well, Kiara, I'm not surprised but disappointed, I thought you'll improve a bit but no... you didn't. Did you not understand what I taught? If not then you could have asked, right? I'm always there to explain it to you..."

Kiara's heart sank as Dhruv's words pierced through her. She had truly given her best in the test, but the disappointment in his eyes made her feel like a failure. She had always looked up to Dhruv as her mentor and wanted to make him proud, but it seemed she had let him down once again.

"I'm sorry, sir," she muttered, her voice filled with regret. "I did try my best, but maybe it just wasn't enough. I don't know what went wrong."

Dhruv's stern expression softened slightly as he realized the impact of his words on Kiara. He had never intended to hurt her, but he had hoped it would push her to work harder. Now, he could see the dejection in her eyes, and it made him feel guilty.

But he knew he had to be strict to push her further, "what did I tell you last time?" He asked, his eyes never leaving hers. She bit on her lower lip. "I... um you'll punish me," she stammered, playing with the hem of her shirt. Dhruv nodded, and picked up the stick for his desk.

He asked her to forward her palm a bit, and she did. Never in her life her parents had ever punished her physically, she was scared. Dhruv slightly hit her on the palm with his stick, it was not very painful but as it was Kiara's first time, she let out a whimper that didn't go unnoticed by him.

Her eyes started to tear up but she held them back, Dhruv didn't know why but she was feeling the urge to comfort her. It's not like he hasn't seen his students cry when he punished them but seeing Kiara in pain made something twist inside him. He quietly put the stick aside, putting on his emotionless face back on.

"Namak laga lena Ghar Jake," he teased, trying to distract her from the pain, and guess it helped as Kiara glared at him, her eyes still filled with tears. "Khadoos," she whispered, her voice trembling.
