(Carisi's POV)

I brought Maya home, and she went straight for her room down the hall. I heard her gasp and I smiled. She saw her room.

Nick, Fin and I painted the walls purple, got her a new bed and desk, and a bureau. She walked in the room and sat on the bad.

"You like it?" I smirked.

"I love it." She whispered smiling. "Thank you."

"No problem. Now go to bed. It's getting late." I tell her as she gets under the covers. "Good night." I whisper as she rolls over. I turn off the lights and go to my bed.

I lay down and quickly fall asleep. A few hours later, I hear whimpering, and feel somebody tap my shoulder. I open my eyes, and see Maya standing there, tears rushing down her face.

"What's wrong?" I asked her, standing up.

"I'm scared." She whispered. I hug her.

"Shh... it's okay. You're safe now. And always will be." I comfort her.

"I- I- I just want it to stop." She cries into my chest.

"What to stop?" I ask.

"The pain." She cried harder.

"I know, and it will. Just give it time." I quiet her.

"Why?"

"Why what?"

"Why did you pick my school?"

"I went there as a kid." I replied.

She pulled away and looked at me. "Really?"

"Yup." I smirk.

"Did you have Miss. gold as your principle too?" She asked.

"Yea, and she used to had a mullet." I said causing her to laugh.

"Thank you."

"For what?" I ask.

"For being there." She replied.

"You're welcome. I love you. Do you wanna stay in here?"

"No thanks." She replies and walks back to her room. In no time I am asleep again.
