CHAPTER SEVEN a house by the sea

SILENCE FILLED THE TENT. June and Charlie drew their wands. Many people were only just realizing that something strange had happened; heads were still turning toward the silver cat as it vanished. Silence spread outward in cold ripples from the place where the Patronus had landed. Then somebody screamed.
June threw herself into the panicking crowd. Guests were sprinting in all directions; many were Disapparating; the protective enchantments around the Burrow had broken.
"Harry!" she called, sprinting towards her cousin. "You need to go. They will be coming!" She turned her head around, spotting Ron and Hermione not too far off. "Go!" she ordered, pushing him towards their direction. "GO!"
"June—!"
June ignored his call as she saw cloaked and masked figures appear in the crowd. She raised her wand.
"Protego!"
Fingers were wrapped around her upper arm and June only had time to recognize Charlie's red hair before she felt a familiar tug at her stomach and they were Disapparating.
When they landed, June stumbled away. "Why did you to that?" she exclaimed. "We should have stayed and helped them!"
"They would have killed you, June," Charlie stated with a calm voice. "You're Harry's only blood related family. They either kill you or they would have taken you captive and tortured you. Neither is an option for me."
June gritted her teeth. Although he was probably right, she didn't like being unhelpful. Turning around, she observed their surroundings. They had appeared in a small alley. When June popped her head into the main street, she recognized the Muggle Italian place she and Charlie had a dinner date at.
"It was the first place that came into mind," Charlie said, coming up behind her. "We'll need to make preparations as to where we'll be going to next."
"Don't worry," June said, still feeling very angry towards the Death Eaters who had disturbed their feast. "I know just where to go."

THE DOOR WAS OPENED BY A MAID. She frowned when she saw June and Charlie standing on the doorway—both dressed fancy. "Je peux vous aider?"
"We're here to see Monsieur and Madame Dubois. I am Juniper Black, daughter of Lyra Potter. She was friends with Charlotte—their daughter."
