It was now Thursday evening and they we're packing for the weekend. Ryan and Emily had just gotten back a few hours ago, Emily didn't even bother going home since Ryan had use of only one arm at the moment and Emily wanted to help him out with everything.

"You know I can do some of this myself." Ryan complained when Emily started packing for him. "The doctor said to take it easy, just see this as me helping out. "I'm not an invalid, all I did was fracture my radius." Ryan said.

One of the things Ryan hated the most was feeling like he couldn't do anything. "I know you're not an invalid, but all I'm asking is letting me help." Emily reasoned, Ryan sighed then nodded before laying on the bed. Emily laughed pulling out a shirt she recognized. It was a blue button up shirt made of silk

"Isn't this the same shirt you wore on that mission we had in Vienna?" She asked, Ryan looked at the shirt and nodded. "Yeah I guess it is." Ryan said remembering that mission. It was a long one, about six months it took to take down a terror cell.

"What was it that Clyde used to describe the mission?" Ryan asked, Emily had a sullen look on her face "One tenth of an inch from a clusterfoul." Ryan snorted "That's one way to describe it. On one I thought the mission would never end and yet the way they ended.." Ryan trailed off

Emily nodded "Yeah I know." Emily said, then remembered something. "you remember what you said to me after we finally completed it?" She asked. Ryan thought then smiled "What we both need is a long vacation." He said as he laughed along with Emily.

"Feels like a lifetime ago. Doesn't it?" Ryan asked Emily who nodded. "It does, like a different world." She said before going back to packing. soon after that Emma and Tyler came in. They made to jump on the bed before Emily stopped them.

"Gently please, remember you're dad can't have any type of rough play." Emily said before freezing realizing what she said. Tyler and Emma of course didn't notice as they climb gently onto the bed.

Ryan had to stop himself from laughing at the apparent double meaning of Emily's saying. Of course he knew she didn't mean it that way but it still came out and by the slight pink appearing on her face he could tell she was slightly embarrassed by it.

Tyler and Emma layed on opposite sides of their father on the bed. Emma looked at her father's cast in the sling, Both her and Tyler were both surprised and slightly scared when they saw their father the way he was. But Ryan assured them that he was all right, and assured them that their weekend was still on.

"Does it hurt Daddy?" The three year old asked. Ryan nodded "A little bit, but not as bad as before." Ryan said. Emma then asked "If I kissed it would it make it really better?" Emily laughed the same as Ryan. "I would love for you to kiss it but be careful." Ryan responded. Emma carefully placed a kiss on the part of the cast that wasn't covered by the sling.

Emily chuckled but then asked the two toddlers, "Have you guys finished packing?" The two nodded. Ryan chuckled "Did you too actually pack or did you just throw a lot of things into you're backpacks?" He asked.

Both Tyler and Emma looked at him with innocent eyes. Emily laughed "I'll make sure to check their luggage." She said. "Remember guys we're only gonna be gone for the weekend, so you probably won't need a bunch of clothes or lot of toys." She said while giving Emma a look. The toddler had a cheeky smile on her face.

"Hey Daddy since  Emily is leaving with us tomorrow, do you think she could stay the night and we could have a big sleepover?" Tyler asked looking at his father and Emily with hopeful eyes. Emma's nodded her head in excitement with blonde bouncing around. Ryan locked eyes with Emily who nodded "I don't mind, I'm pretty much already packed."
