Mia's POV......

I'm in front of Jace's apartment now. I press the door bell.

"Oh...hey, Mia." Idris calls out after he opens the door.

"Hey, Idris." I say.

"You here to see Jace?" Idris asks.

"Yeah....is he home?" I ask.

"Yes, he is. Jace!!" Idris yells for Jace to come out.

"What is it now? Did my father happen to come all the......Mia?" I hear Jace say as he approaches where Idris is standing by the door.

"Hi Jace. How're you doing?" I ask.

"Oh....I'm sorry....please come inside..if you don't mind. You shouldn't stand out here." Idris says.

"Sure." I say as I step into the house.
I hear Idris close the door behind me.

I know....I know....
Y'all are probably thinking "how can she comfortably go into an apartment alone....with two boys living in it"

How could they think that??

You went into the same apartment alone with a boy and you know what happened.....

Nothing happened....

Something happened...

Gosh! Shut up!

I thought.

I kinda trust Idris and Jace. I guess that's why I don't mind going into their apartment with both of them present....not to mention at night....

"What're you doing here, Mia?" Jace asks.

"I'm here to check on you...obviously." I say.

"I'm gonna leave you two." Idris says and starts walking away.

"To check on me? You didn't tell me you were coming." Jace says.

"I would've....if you weren't ignoring my calls." I say.

"When did I ignore your calls?" Jace asks.

"I see you really love to play dumb with me." I say.

"I don't play dumb with you." Jace says.

"That's exactly what you just did, that's exactly what you've been doing and that's probably what you're gonna keep doing." I say.

"Mia, you shouldn't be here by this time. Are you not even scared?" Jace asks.

"Scared? Why'd I be scared?" I ask.

"You do realize there are two men living in here." Jace says.

"Yeah...so?" I ask.

"We could do bad things to you. We could harass you, we could kill you." Jace says.

"But then you guys can't, can you?" I ask rhetorically.

"That's not my point, Mia...."

I interrupt Jace.

"Then what's your point?" I ask.

"Mia, please go home." Jace says.

"You told me you're fine....you keep telling me you're fine but you still look like death. Why did you lie...why're you lying?" I ask.

"I'm fine. I didn't lie neither am I still lying." Jace says.

"Oh really?" I ask.

"Yeah...really." Jace says.
