Chapter 41

James pov

"Where's Michelle?" Riley pouts
"She'll be late" I say. I look up and see the two new girls walk past us.
"Bro, take them two to prom. Walk up to prom in a limo with them on either side of you" Hunter says. Stephanie roles her eyes.
"Yeah sure" I shrug.
The girls go silent and bite their lips. I look at the ground.
In just a day I'm about to ruin my only loves life.
The bell rings and I quickly leave for bio.
I stare a Michelle empty seat for the entire block.
I can't imagine my life with out her.

As soon as school ends I drive over to Michelle's house.
"Hey" she says smiling brightly
"Hey" I say quietly looking down at her.
"Come in" she steps aside to let me in.
"Oh I was wondering if you wanted you go for a walk" I say. I can't sit I'm so nervous.
"Okay," She turns and shuts the door behind her "ready?"
I simply nod and take her hand in mine. Our fingers intertwine perfectly like they were made for each other.
"You okay? You seem tense" she asks.
"I'm fine" I say stiffly.
"James" she stops walking. I turn so I'm directly in front of her.
"I'm sorry, just tired that's all"
"It's fine" she says smiling. She grabs both of my hands in hers, stands on her toes and kisses me. I kiss her back softy.
"I can't wait for tomorrow. Can you? This'll be my first prom with the first person I've ever loved" she says happily and starts walking again. I have to hold back my tears.
"Yeah same" I say and force a smile.
"It's gonna be amazing. All the lights the music that dancing"
"Michelle" I stop this time.
"Yeah?" She asks looking back at me.
"You love me, right?" I need to say this.
"Of course. I love you more than myself" she says smiling.
"No matter what happens. You'll always love me?"
"Yeah of course, James why are you saying this?"
"You'll never leave me?"
"James?"
"Jus say it" I beg
"James I love you so much. I don't ever want to leave you. You mean so much to me"
She wraps her small arms around my neck. I wrap my arms around the small of her back. Tears slip down my cheeks. God I'm gonna miss you so much Michelle.
