"Why you look like that?" Syre questioned Sybil as he walked back into his bedroom.

It had been about 2 weeks since they got back from California. If they were both being completely honest, they were missing it.

Neither of them had ever had something so peaceful. Time that they could spend on themselves and each other, it felt nice. Syre joked, the only time he ever had solitude was in prison and Sybil frowned at him but he assured her it was his form of comedy.

It only fueled the fire in her more, to give him all the things he deserved. And she would, in due time.

"Like what?"  She tilted her head.

"Worried."

Taking his place next to her in bed, he gestured for her to lay close. Wrapping his arms around her, she sunk into his chest and sighed.

She had been worried sick about telling him about the house. More times than not, she debated on telling him at all. And just...not moving, but ChiChi kept telling her that was a stupid idea.

Especially when she put so much time and money into that house. Her dream house.

"I gotta talk to you about something." She said lowly.

He hummed and ran his fingers through her hair. "Is it bad?"

"I don't think so."

"Well, I can't tell. You looking like ya dog died and shit."

Sybil kissed her teeth and Syre cheered her on softly. "Come on, Tell me wassup, before I fall asleep."

"You always falling asleep." She joked. "Okay...so before we met, before we started dating...I had set myself up for my first house. I was able to buy some land and I worked with developers & contractors to build like...my dream house ya know?"

"Mhm."

"Anyway...they started building it back then and I guess I had so much going on...it was just the furthest thing from my mind. But I got an email, when we were in California that they completed it. And it's all mine to move in."

Syre nodded his head and continued to stroke her hair. "So...you moving?"

She shrugged, leaning away from him. "Maybe."

Sitting up, he held his hands out in confusion. "Whatchu mean maybe? It's your house ain't it, ma?"

"Yes, it's my house." She signed. "I said maybe because when I did this, it was just me. I didn't have you in my life. I wasn't in an amazing relationship....and the house is in Sullivan County."

"Damn." He said bluntly hearing the location, cutting her off in the process. "My bad." He apologized and chuckled.

"Ugh." Sybil groaned.
