Stepping into the beauty bar, I carried Silas securely in my arms. Smiling once I heard all her girls voices. I swear I missed all the shit talking and gossip so bad, I couldn't wait to get back to work but...there were more important things. Like this beautiful baby boy in my arms.

"What y'all talkin bout?" I asked, catching their attention immediately.

They all looked my and squeals erupted through the salon, even from some of the frequent customers.

Drea hopped out of her chair and ran over to me as fast as she could. "POOKIE! Lemme see that cute ass baby and then lemme see that RING girl!"

Kira snapped her fingers. "Period. But what we need to do is get little mans birth and natal chart before the universe starts working against him. We can get ahead of it if we do it now."

I shook my head at her with a laugh. That girl was such a character. "Kira, keep your astrology hoodoo away from my baby."

"Okay, but if you find out later that his Mars is in Libra don't come crying to me. That boy won't be able to make a decision if his life depends on it"

I shushed her with a giggle as ChiChi made her way over. "Alright alright alright. Let my Godson breath dammit. Y'all are crowding his cuteness." She said before walking over and scooping him from my arms. "Hi fat man." She cooed.

Keyshia, pointed at me and snapped. "Hand."

I walked over to her station and took a seat in her chair, giving her my left hand. She held it and stared before humming. "Syre did what the hell he had to do......God....DAMN."

The rest of the girls ran over, crowding the nail station and they all gawked at my hand.

"Can you fit ya hand in ya purse? Shit." Drea joked.

"Y'all are so annoying." I giggled.

Kira pouted. "I can't believe you're getting married. I can't even believe he proposed, with his mean self. How did he do it?"

Everyone stopped and the bar went silent.

"Oh my Gosh, yall." I rolled my eyes. "Nosy?"

Drea waved her hand. "Bitch we wanna know. We're living through you."

"Facts." Ivory said. "So spill..."

I sat back in the chair and I shrugged. "I don't know!" I laughed. "We went away for the weekend, for our 2 year anniversary—"

"Just had to throw in that 2 years? Salt in the wound." Ivory mumbled and I giggled.

"I can't tell y'all details of the weekend itself cuz....it's a story that should not be told."

"Her ass was getting bent over and broke." ChiChi interrupted before looking back at Sy. "Ya momma think she grown, yes she do."
