Yelena sat on the edge of her bed, feeling like a fish out of water. The six-year-old girl was engrossed in building a tower with her colorful blocks, occasionally glancing up at Yelena with curious eyes. Yelena shifted uncomfortably, unsure of what to say or do next. She had been assigned to look after morgan, but Yelena couldn't shake off the feeling of being ill-equipped for the task.

"Morgan, do you... uh... want to play a game or something?" Yelena ventured, her voice coming out more uncertain than she intended, she internally cringed at how she was cting around the girl.

Morgan looked up from her blocks, her eyes sparkling with innocence. "Sure! Let's play hide and seek!"the girl squeeled before jumping up and smiling at Yelena.

Yelena blinked, momentarily taken aback. Hide and seek? She hadn't played that game since she was a child herself. Nevertheless, she managed a weak smile. "Okay, sounds fun. You go hide, and I'll count to ten."

As Morgan scurried off to find a hiding spot, Yelena closed her eyes and began to count. She could hear the faint giggles of the little girl as she hid somewhere in the room. When she reached ten, Yelena opened her eyes and began to search, feeling utterly out of her element.

After a few minutes of stumbling around the room, Yelena finally spotted Morgan's tiny feet sticking out from under the bed. She crouched down and pretended to be surprised. "I found you!"

Morgan squealed with delight and crawled out from her hiding spot. "Your turn to hide now, Yelena!"

Yelena hesitated for a moment before nodding reluctantly. She found a spot behind the curtain and crouched down, trying to make herself as small as possible. As she waited for Morgan to find her, Yelena couldn't help but feel a sense of awkwardness melting away in the innocence of the moment. Perhaps she didn't need to know how to act around kids; perhaps all she needed was to be herself. But as the game continued, and Morgan couldn't find Yelena leaving her alone with her thoughts, this led to yelenas childhood creeping up on her, the memories of her and Natasha playing tig and running around at the forefront of her mind.
After what felt like a year, Morgan found Yelena in the laundry basket, she looked shaken and delicate, but this goes amiss by the six year old. She couldn't shake off the urge to open up to Morgan, to share a piece of her past. Maybe it was the child's innocence that made her feel safe, or perhaps it was the faint echo of her own childhood longing for companionship.

"Morgan," Yelena called softly, her voice barely above a whisper. "Do you want to hear a story?"

Morgan's eyes lit up with excitement. "Yes, please!"

Yelena took a deep breath, her mind racing with memories of her time with Natasha. "Once upon a time, there were two sisters who were very different from each other. One was fierce and determined, while the other was cautious and reserved."

Morgan listened intently, her gaze fixed on Yelena's face as if hanging on to every word waiting for the next.

"The sisters had been through many trials and tribulations together, facing dangers that most people could only imagine. But no matter what challenges they encountered, they always stood by each other's side, protecting and supporting one another, even when nobody supported them" she looked down avoiding eye contact.

Yelena paused, a wave of nostalgia washing over her. "They may not have been born into the same family, but their bond was stronger than blood. They were sisters in every sense of the word, bound by a love that transcended time and space."

Morgan's eyes widened in wonder. "Are you talking about you and Auntie Natasha?"the girl wondered where her auntie was, she hasn't seen her for a while.
