The next day

As Kori sat up in bed, her heart heavy with worry and anxiety, she took a deep breath, trying to steady her nerves. The events of yesterday felt like a nightmare. The unfamiliar bedroom made the horrible memories flood back to her. Being manhandled at gunpoint with an infant now being held hostage God knows where was enough to make her hyperventilate

Pushing aside the blankets, Kori swung her legs over the edge of the bed and took a deep breath, trying to calm her racing thoughts. She glanced around the room, taking in the luxurious furnishings and elaborate decor. It was clear that Adrian spared no expense designing the space.

He refused to spend more than 2 minutes with her yesterday having his maids give them a grand tour. Kori had to admit the home was beautiful it featured multiple bedrooms, bathrooms, an indoor pool, a home theatre and an open kitchen concept. Under different circumstances she'd be dying to use the kitchen but sadly this wasn't a friendly occasion.

Lunch and dinner were provided to her and Melissa who shared a room with Saint further down the hall but she was too upset to eat. She had no idea what time she fell asleep but knew she most likely tired herself out from crying.

There were already clothes laid out across the mini sofa in the room so she proceeded to the connected bathroom to shower.

Silent tears fell as she stared at her disheveled appearance in the mirror. Her eyes were puffy and bloodshot red the fear of the unknown caused Korianna to toss and turn throughout the night costing her hours of much needed sleep.

"Why would he do this to me? I'm so stupid!" she sobbed into her hands hoping the shower water muffled the sounds. After showering and throwing on the provided cotton short set and slippers she thought about Sincere.

Did he get the 911 message she text him off Melissas phone? Was he safe? Would he be mad at her for being so careless she felt completely at fault for this situation she considered Adrian a friend and look where that got her.

Then she thought about her own family she knew they must be worried sick especially her mom. What about Tizzy, Momo, and the girls? Did Adrian capture them too?

With no access to her phone she had no clue what time it was but knew she needed to check on Saint and Melissa. It hadn't been a full 24 hours yet but Kori knew she had to figure a way out a forced coughing noise interrupted her thoughts.

Feeling a mix of fear and curiosity, Korianna cautiously looked up at the man standing before her. His eyes held a hint of kindness, she wondered how he got involved in all this was it out of obligation? Force?

Maybe someone threatened him to do this the man scratched the back of his neck watching her analyze him.

"Breakfast is ready" he spoke

"Breakfast?"

"Yea you might wanna hurry up too A doesn't like waiting"

Well I don't like being held against my will she thought

Kori released a heavy sigh she didn't know what game Adrian was playing at providing her with a master bedroom, clothes, food, and wait staff all while confining her to his home.

None of it made any sense

"Who are you?" she asked, her voice trembling slightly.

The man hesitated for a moment, his expression softening as he studied her. "My name's Noah," he replied quietly. "I'm... I'm sorry for all of this. None of us wanted it to come to this."

Korianna's eyes widened in surprise at his unexpected apology. She hadn't expected any remorse from the people who had abducted her and her loved ones.
