Aj's eyes burned staring at the screen. They tried to stay awake. They tried to see if he would respond.

He hoped the 'sent' would turn into a 'read,' better yet an actual response.

Maybe Sharky got weirded out? Maybe Sharky knew this was a love confession?

"He just fell asleep!" he repeated to himself. Despite telling himself all the signs, a part of him believed otherwise.

It was a possibility that he ignored Aj because he didn't want to be involved with someone like him.

But honestly, even if he didn't agree or have similar feelings- he wouldn't ignore or be rude to Aj on purpose.

They grew so close. They bonded over anything on the planet Earth.

Aj felt a strange gut feeling as he clicked on a few buttons on his phone.

Aj felt his eyes drifting away into slumber. He hoped everything would go smoothly.

When Sharky woke up, he woke up reminded of last night.

'Shit! I fucking fell asleep...' Sharky picked up his phone in a panic. 'Fucking hell...he was going to confess something too, right?!'

Sharky rushed to scroll through their text message exchange, but everything Aj seemed to have wrote was deleted.

The fuck?

'Why? Why would he do this? Did I break his trust?'

He groaned in defeat, pulling on his eyelids. Sharky sent a quick text to Aj.
