Robin's POV

I woke up this morning with a throbbing head. Groaning , I sat up and blinked a couple times. Everything was blurry. After yawning and running my hands through my hair, I stood up and blinked.I felt like I had a hangover. A really bad hangover. But, I didn't drink last night...

Wait....

What the hell happened last night!?
I searched my mind frantically for any memories of what happened.

Nothing.

I saw Hazel, we went to a hotel... And then there was his big chip of nothingness. What else happened? Were Hazel and I back together?

I groaned and grabbed my phone from the nightstand but then I realized... Wait a minute...

Where am I?

I examined my surroundings and saw that .. I was in a hotel. It was nothing fancy, pretty basic actually.
Shaking head I scrolled through my inbox and saw that I had 3 new text messages.

Hey babe! I had the best time last night! How's the hangover? You got pretty wasted. Not my fault though, you should've listened to me and kept the drinking to a minimum. Anyways, I wanted to tell you that I have a surprise for you! Let's meet up at my place, 2pm. Love you!
-Hazel

I smiled at this. I'd do anything for this clueless girl so long as she stayed clueless as to what I was doing.

Hi Robin.... I miss you. When can you visit me? -Sophia

I scowled. I really didn't like Sophia. That girl was like a leech. If it weren't for her father I would've dumped this girl long ago. We didn't officially break up but I thought that no contact for three months meant that we were no longer together.

The third text made my stomach twist in fear.

Robin. You still owe me 46,000 dollars. If I don't have the money by next month, I'm coming for you.
-unknown number

I threw my phone carelessly on the bed and sighed. I was neck deep in debt. And all because of that stupid gamble.

I needed money. And I needed it fast.

Hazel's POV

"That right there is comedy gold."

Harley stated while pointing at the screen of my laptop. I grinned like a Cheshire cat.

"You are an evil genius." Sophia stated with a laugh.

Of course the people there were a little pissed. But I was Hazel Armada, I could probably get away with murder if I wanted to.

"I'm going to the kitchen!" Celeste stated out of the blue. "Anyone want anything?"

"Yeah more pizza would be nice" Harley said. Her eyes never leaving the laptop.

Celeste nodded and left.

"Where were you hiding the entire time? " I asked out of pure curiosity.

Harley snorted. "Please. I've been to law school and to karate school or whatever they called it. I could be a spy."

I smiled. She actually could.

"So, what do we do now?" Sophia asked while tucking a strand of hair behind her ear.

"Now?" I asked with an evil glint in my eyes.

"Hello YouTube. " Harley said while trying to conceal her smile.

"Exactly." I really was an evil genius.

After feasting on pizza and tacos, we decided it would be a good time to go shopping for Robin's 'surprise'.

Sophia agreed immediately. She was like my partner in crime. It helped that she read Nancy Drew books when she was little. This girl was a like a detective. No wonder she found out what Robin was up to. She could look at a random guy and say,

"He's waiting for someone. See the way his eyes dart back and forth? And the someone I should guess is a lady friend. I can see the mark on his finger where his wedding ring should be. It's probably in his back pocket judging from the way he keeps fidgeting."

She was like a Einsteiness. Originally I was worried because being a detective was Harley's job. But much to my surprise-and relief. Harley loved the girl. I had confronted her about it and she simply said,

"This group needs a detective. Cleste is the fashion chick, you're the determined one, and I'm the sassy bitch."

I raised my eyes at 'the determined one' it sounded like the title of an action movie.

"Once you want something, you stop at nothing to get it." Harley elaborated for me.

I tried to argue but failed to come up with a good comeback.

What Harley said was true. In third grade, when I wanted to play Cinderella and didn't get the part, I put peanuts in the girl's lunch and she, being allergic to peanuts, was unable to perform so I took the role.
And another time, in highschool , when I wanted to get an A on my biology quiz so I could go to a party, I stayed up all night studying.
And then.... Well, you get the idea.

I smiled as I remembered who I was in the past.

And I'm still the same girl.

New look, new life, new goals, but same spirit. I still had the same short temper, the same determination, the same fire in my eyes, and sadly yes, the same heart that was easily broken.

I was embarrassed to say, that every boy I've ever dated, took a piece of my heart with every time he left. I knew that was my fatal flaw. I trusted people too easily. But I was going to change that.
