The Runaway

Chapter 2:Return

A few weeks has past since Natsu transferred at the dorm. He met Hibiki's friend, Eve Tearm and Ren Akatsuki. They're fun but at the same time annoying with all the flirty moves, even though it was just a playful gesture and an act, it was still annoying. There was one time Natsu snapped and punched them 100 meters away from the school and that's where they realized that Natsu's patience was not something they should test.

"Hibiki.. I swear-- If those guys won't stop pestering me, I'll smash their faces," he threaten, it was all down to the last straw. Hibiki sweat dropped, he knew it was no empty threat. 

"Now, now. Just let them be.." he soothe.

"Easy for you to say," he deadpan. Yup, Natsu's patience was definitely out of question. The last thing Hibiki wanted was to have a bruise on his face. Even though he and Natsu are friends, Natsu wouldn't let it slide and that's what made him worried.

"Alright. Hey, did the dorm supervisor inform you?" he quickly changed the subject.

"About what?" Natsu turned to him while pushing the glass door of the library open.

"We have a new roommate...--"

"Really?" Natsu exclaimed in excitement. Hibiki chuckled.

"Yeah. But there was a change.." he added. Natsu lifted a brow, showing his confusion. "This time, it's not a guy, it's a girl. They said it wouldn't be a problem since she's just gonna be here for a short while and the girl's dorm are already full," he sighed. "But, the dorm supervisor look threatened when he explained it to me, though I didn't push it. You know his wrath," they both shuddered at the thought.

They sat down at a vacant table and opened their assignment notebooks. Silence filled them while doing their research, Natsu excused himself to grab a book even though he already read half of the books in the library, still. Hibiki has no problem when it comes to research since he can always use his Archive Magic. Natsu cracked the book open and stared at the open sky for  awhile, wondering about the new girl. Hibiki looked up to him.

"Is something bothering you?" Natsu flinched in surprise as a voice invaded his thoughts, he shot his glance at Hibiki who looking up to him with a worried look. Hibiki was using telepathy on him, knowing Natsu's loud mouth, Natsu would probably yell.

"Sort of... I'm just wondering what type of girl is our new roommate," he answered. Hibiki chuckled and Natsu half-heartedly glared.

"Relax. I'm a little curious too. You know me, girls were always my top priority," Hibiki chuckled again and Natsu just gave him a blank look.

"Well I hope she's not the clingy-I-like-hot-guys-like-you type," he snarled. Hibiki blinked, Natsu didn't seem to realize what he just said.

"Uhhmm....haha..?" He just responded nervously but Natsu let the thought go and just sweat dropped. He shook his head and continued on his assignment and reading.

Their lunch break was still the same, hang out with Ren and Eve at the rooftop. Lunch was over before they knew it, Eve and Ren parted ways with them, their schedules were different and Natsu was happy, he already has one flirt by his side and he doesn't want to add another.

"The new girl, when is she gonna arrive?" Natsu ask out of blue. Hibiki thought for awhile.

"If I remember correctly, she's already there unpacking, I think. That's what the supervisor told me," he answered.

"Hope she doesn't get excited with our stuff while we're out," Natsu sneered as Hibiki blushed. Natsu shook his head in amusement. Yup, teasing people were a lot fun than playing around trying to figure out what their purpose in life.
