Chapter 21:Flash of Happiness

Natsu stared out of the window of their dorm. He was there all by himself. Rogue left to help with the arrangements for tonight, Sting ignored him the entire day and he hadn't seen Gray since the informary. Even from their dorm, Natsu can spot the huge cherry blossom tree. He loved seeing that tree during nights of this festival. Even though, he had only seen it twice.

Happy curled onto his lap, he gave out a small smile. He doesn't plan on attending the morning activities, just the night. He never liked gatherings due to his childhood. Nothing good happens whenever he attends one. Like the party that was held at the Tower of Heaven. He saw something he shouldn't have, and it was to see a lot of people making out. He swore to never do it again. But, what now? Rogue asked him.

He turned and walked over to his bed. Since it was weekend, he took all his time to sleep and he woke up 1 in the afternoon already. He just took a shower and ate lunch, had a little fun time with the cats and eventually sent them to sleep. He gently laid Happy back down and he curled into his own bed. Three more hours still.

Rogue was watching the cherry blossoms from a distance .Sting and Gray were enjoying the bingo. Juvia, Elfman and Levy kept arguing on who should take the tickets since they won. Erza was disappointed for only getting those withered mint leaves they gathered last time. Rogue wanted Natsu to be there. Just to see if he can really hide in the trees due to his pink hair. He smirked at the thought.

"Rogue. Head's up!" Sting called, and right on time, he caught a pockey box. He smiled at Sting as a thank you and Sting just rubbed his nape sheepishly. Gray snorted and Sting gave him a White Dragon's roar, Gray blocked it with his ice shield. Rogue stared at the pockey box.

'Natsu...'

After awhile, Erza punched the two for ruining everyone's relaxing time. The wind blew and the petals started to blow away, everyone felt relax. Sting and Gray stopped, and at least let the wind soothe them. Rogue felt a little bad for Natsu missing this. But then again, he can clearly tell that Natsu was still sleeping, so he'd rather not wake him up.

Every family enjoyed their moments. Sting's father, Weisslogia came and so did Rogue's father, Skiadrum. They were clearly surprise. Their fathers were always busy with business, so it was a shock to see them in an event like this. What was more surprising is that they're wearing casual clothes, not those suit and tie. Just jeans and t-shirts.

Their fathers are friends. Business partners, that includes Gray's father and mother. But sadly, the couple couldn't come cause they were stuck in Clover due to a snow storm. All transportations were not avaible for a sec. Though, by the looks of it, Gray, Lyon nor Ultear were bothered. It was suppose to be expected, they say. Well, currently the oldest was enjoying her time with her pink haired best friend. And Lyon, well he's just happy being with Juvia. Gray on the other hand, is having an animated conversation with Sting.

Jellal's family was also there, but they didn't spot them, probably only Jellal. Speak of the devil, Jellal walked up who him with a perplexed look. Rogue raised his brow and waited for Jellal to stop.

"Hey, have you seen Natsu?" he asked. Rogue shook his head.

"No, he's probably still at the dorm. Sleeping his ass off," he answered. Jellal sighed.

"Thought so," he muttered. 'Uncle is even here to see him,' he thinks, crestfallen. "Thanks anyway," he waved and walked away. Rogue stared at his motioning figure.

"What did Jellal need?" Gray asked.

"He was just looking for Natsu," he simply answered. Gray shrugged.
