"This is stupid, why do they need day two of trial? they cant just say hes guilty so we can move on with our lives?"

"well, unfortunately not. It confuses me just as much but we are gonna give them as many days as it takes if it means the kids get the justice they deserve."

They all took in a deep breath before walking into the very familiar court room. Similar to yesterday they had to swear in the jury and go through introduction, it was something Aubrey was all to familiar with sadly. He really wished he could press fast forward and get this shit over with so he could go home and be happy with his family.

"The people call Riley Innsbrook to the stands."

When he heard his name he clung on to Sunny a little bit tighter, she leaned down and kissed his head before whispering in his ear

"its okay, you can do this. Want me to walk you up there?"

He nodded his head yes, sunny stood up and put out a hand

"your honor, sorry to interrupt but Riley was wondering if i could walk him up there? hes kind of nervous."

"yes of course."

She walked around the bench hand-in-hand with Riley, hearing a few "aww's" from the Jury which was good. As much as she wanted to give in and let them wear whatever they wanted from the new wardrobe Aubrey bought them, she knew they would pull at heart strings if they wore little tuxedos. She set him up in the stands and put her forehead against his

"you can do this. Remember like we practiced."

"just be honest."

"good boy."

She smiled at him before walking back over to the bench and sitting next to Aubrey, grabbing his hand for comfort. Adam cleared his throat before running a hand over his tie

"hello Riley."

he leaned forward and spoke into the mic

"hi."

"how are you on this fine day?"

"im okay, im kind of hungry."

the jury laughed, when wasn't he ever hungry? Sunny smiled to herself as the people of the Jury watch him with love in there eyes, he was adorable and understanding the reason these cute kids were here was really heartbreaking

"So can you tell me what its like living with George and Tina?"

"Its really bad, Sissy says they hurt us really bad."

He furrowed his eyebrows

"Sissy says?"

"yes, that's what she said to that nice lady over there, and she said to tell them that too."

Kristen stood up

"Objection your honor."

"for what?"

She sighed out and sat back down feeling a little bit defeated but pulled out her note pad and began to rummage through them

"she told you to say those things?"

"yes, she said to make sure that the nice lady knew everything and she told me what to say."

"hm.... And you didn't think that was a little..odd?"

"no, sissy tells us what to say and do all the time, she says for its protection or something like that."

He shrugged innocently as Adam buttoned his blazer back up

"No further questions, i would like to call Izzy InnsBrook to the stands."

The tension was thick once again, Aubrey had to undue his first button cause he felt like the air was escaping from his lungs quicker then he could breathe in. Izzy straightened out the skirt of her pink dress before sitting straight in the stand chair

"Izzy...long time no see."

"i just saw you yesterday sir.."

"i was being sarcastic...it was a figure of speech dear....i have some questions to ask you, okay?"

She nodded her head slowly

"Your brother...he says you tell him to say things? why?"

she swallowed before leaning forward and speaking into the mic

"so he doesn't mess up, sometimes he forgets things and messes up. So i remind him, politely of course."

"he said you told him, or reminded him as you say, to what he was supposed to tell the nice lady, correct?"

"yes."

"why?"

"like i said so he would remember correctly, so he wouldn't mess up."

Adam took in a breath and pursed his lips before speaking up again

"well Izzy, im a little confused. The nice lady pulled you guys in to talk about how bad George and Tina were, right?"

"yes."

"And from what i hear, your guys stories are identical."

"yes."

"So why would you need to remind him? if he truly lived through it, wouldn't he remember?"

She furrowed her brows in confusion

"Well yea, but i just like to make sure he-"

"Izzy, your a liar."

Her brows furrowed again, why would he say that? why would he think that? She was taken aback and she didnt know really what to say

"admit it, your lying."

"but im not."

"yes you are, you were lying about going to heaven and seeing your parents, you were lying about George and Tina hurting you. your a liar, Izzy."

"no im not...stop saying that im not a liar. I'm being honest."

her eyes began to slowly fill up with tears as her legs began to shake, and her fingers began to twitch.

"then why would you need to remind Riley on what to say. This isn't a play and you aren't the scriptwriter if these terrible things would have happened then why would you need to remind him of them."

"OBJECTION YOUR HONOR."

Kristen shot up and maneuvered around the table. She trudged up to the Stand and grabbed Izzys hand

"come with me."

"What are you-"

"one moment your honor, i need to show the jury something and if i don't show them now they wont be able to see."

She picked Izzy up and set her on the edge of the stand, holding on to her hand to make sure she doesn't fall. She used her free hand to gesture towards her legs that shook like she was having an epileptic seizure.

"Ladies and Gentlemen of the Jury this is what happens when you have Abusive foster parents. As you can see how badly her legs are shaking, it happens when she gets nervous or scared. It started up when she began to walk again after George pushed her down a flight of stairs. She was in a wheelchair for three months and had to learn to walk again... She has a tremor now."

"That has nothing to do with what is going on right now Kristen."

"Oh and her reminding her brother about what to say does? your a royal jerk Adam and your accusing a little child of-"

"ORDER! ORDER!"

The judge banged on his gavel heavily, breaking up the argument that was about to happen between Kristen and Adam. He straightened out his tie and cleared his throat before walking back to the table

"no further questions...you can step down now.."
