"Haven! How could you?" Kara stormed in, obviously about to throw a fit and interrupting Titan before he could tell me exactly what he meant.
"Shut up Kara!" I yelled, not even bothering to look at her, my whole mind set was directly on Titan. "What were you saying?"
"It doesn't matter." He said and the whole mood changed, before getting up and leaving. All I could do was stare after his retreating figure.
"What the hell, Kara? You always interrupt him and it's starting to piss me off." I yell at her, pissed to the freaking brim.
"Oh, because it's so terrible I keep interrupting him! And how about you? Knocking on the door, knowing exact what we were doing in there!" Her face expression said all I needed to know about that little incident.
"Whoops?" I laughed awkwardly, looking anywhere but her.
"Yeah, whoops." She huffed.
"Well, all I can say is, I had a good point." I pointed out to her. "But what did you mean when you said I should be thankful of your interruptions? How can anyone be thankful of interruptions!"
"Well, do you really want your friendship with him to be ruined?" She questioned me.
"How would, whatever he has to say, ruin our friendship?" I wondered aloud.
"Oh god, how oblivious are you? Even a blind woman could see how he felt!" She exclaimed.
I was confused as hell, this isn't making any sense. "I'm not following." I tell her, my idiocy was really kicking in. But I cannot comprehend whatever she was getting at.
"If you do find out, it will ruin your whole relationship. It won't be the same again, because you could not except it." Kara told me, sharing her wisdom with a confused little one like me.
"Oh, I guess I understand." I lied, because honestly, I still didn't have a clue at what she was getting at. But let's just pretend I do.
"You do, or you don't?" The crazy woman demanded.
"I do." I sighed.
"Awe, you do." Kara laughed. "But anyways, just remember what I said here, finding out will ruin everything. So if you want to keep your friendship, then don't ask about it. Don't even think about it." She warned me.
"Alright." I shrugged her warning off. I'm going to find out somehow.
"Ok, so who did you call? Let me guess, the boys?" She questioned me, a suggestive smile coming onto her face.
"Who else?" I laughed, glad to be moving on to a different subject.
She laughed along with me. "What happened? Did you tell them about Roman and I?" Her hands twisted together, and she looked down at her sandals. "How did they take it?"
"They were glad you found your mate, although pissed as hell that I saw his dick." I laugh as her cheeks turn a shade of red, and I know exactly what she was thinking at that very moment. "Kiran has always wanted you to be happy."
I'm smiling at her, and she's beaming. "He's always cared for me, and I'll love him for that."
"He's said how amazing you are, at what you do and who you are. I've seen how right he is. You have always deserved to be loved." I say sincerely.
"Thank you." Kara whispered, tears forming in her eyes. I pull her to me and into a hug.
"Don't cry." I said softly in her ear, feeling a few wet drops on my shoulder.
She pulled back, wiping her tears away. "It's just, I've never really had many people who've cared for me like you do. Thank you, Haven."
"You're an amazing person Kara, I just want you to be happy." I smile, and wipe away a remaining tear. "I think you should go have a chat with Roman, and get to know him."
She laughed, "I will, see you around." She got up and went back inside.
Leaning back in my chair, I went over everything we had discussed. My mind kept on going back to what she said about Titan. How could he ruin our relationship. He's one of my best friends. I think Kara is delusional.
I felt Amazon shift inside my mind. I haven't shifted in a long while and she was sick of being trapped inside my head.
"Fine, fine, let's go for a run." I mumble to my wolf.
I walk off the porch, heading toward the woods I knew so well. Once I was behind a tree on the edge of the woods, I stripped quickly and shifted into my wolf. I'm taking control. Amazon announced, giving me no option but to sit back and watch.
It's a totally different sensation to be in the back seat and watching everything happen through your own eyes, but not have any control.
The woods always seem to be changing around you, and you could look anywhere without worry about not seeing where you're going. Although you can only see where your eyes have been set by you wolf. It seems confusing, but easy to do.
"Are you almost done?" I ask my wolf. Our positions have changed so now she'll hear what I say like I heard her before, a voice in my head.
She reaches a hilly clearing and stops at the highest point. It's the first time I noticed the full moon, no wonder Amazon was so itchy to get out. Full moons make her go crazy, all she wants to do it run and I let her.
Then for the rest of the month she's far calmer, unlike last month when we couldn't shift and bask in the full moon. So then all she wanted to do during the month, was to be free. I don't normally shift more than three times but I needed to shift seven times last month.
Amazon howled up at the moon, after a few seconds of just silence, we heard a sad howl in response to my buzzed one. Amazon reacted to it, whereas I just ignored it.
"Time to head home." I told my wolf after I was over just sitting on the hill. Even though it was probably our last time there, I didn't mind too much, nor did Amazon. We would be spending more time with our mates.
-better late than never right? Sorry I can't seem to stop getting in trouble.
