"Nina, I just don't know how to tell him! What if he doesn't even want the baby? What if he leaves me?" I sigh, exasperated.

"(Y/N), he's not going to leave you," she said, annoyed at my worry "if he didn't want the possibility of pregnancy, he would've used an effing condom,"

"Well... Yeah, you're right, but still. What if he does leave me? He's one of the biggest goalies in the league right now- if not the biggest. Like I get that other players have children and stuff, but he can barely handle himself during game day, let alone a child," I rubbed at my temples, letting out an animalistic growl.

The sound of a car door shutting got my attention and keys jingled outside of our front door.

"Hey Nina, I have to go. I'll call you later alright?" I said as Corey walked in.

"Alright babe. And remember (Y/N), don't hesitate. When you hesitate, you don't do it. Just tell him. I promise he'll be fine with it," before I could answer, she hung up.

I stood up and walked into our bedroom where I saw Corey face down on the bed.

"Bad day?" I asked in a quiet voice.

"You have no idea," he groaned.

I slowly crawled on top of his legs, scooting up so I was sitting on his lower back, then rested my legs on both sides of his hips. I reached forward and pushed into his shoulders.

"Your hands are amazing," he whispered, making me stop and giggle.

"Why thank you. I've never had someone tell me that before,"

I sat, massaging his tense muscles for a couple minutes until he rolled over, pushing me onto my back. He cuddled up next to me, laying his head on my chest.

"Have you ever thought about kids?" He questioned, lazily tracing shapes onto my stomach.

"Yeah, a couple times. Have you?" I bit my bottom lip, awaiting his response.

"More than you'd think," he admitted "I think it'd be amazing to have a little girl or boy running around the house. We'd be able to spoil the hell out of them, buy them whatever they want. We'd be able to put them in the Cup..."

"Well, if you win it this season, we'll be able to do that," I ran my hand through his hair, hoping he caught on to what I said.

He slowly looked up, big brown puppy eyes staring intently at me. His mouth opened and closed again and again until I nodded.

Corey shot up off the bed, bringing me with him, then wrapping his arms around me tightly.

"I can't believe it," he mumbled "I'm finally going to be a dad,"

"Yeah Corey, we're going to have a child. A little Crow or (Y/N/N) running around," I laughed at the image.

He ran his hands from my back and out to my sides, stepping back a bit to kneel down in front of me.

His fingertips ran lightly across my stomach and placed a gentle kiss right above my belly button. I laughed at the feeling and grabbed his face in my hands, pulling him up to me.

His hands rested on my hips, and he was leaning down a little, our noses touching gently.

"I love you," he murmured before connecting our lips in a sweet, soft kiss.

When we pulled away, I smiled.

"I love you, too,"

A vibration in my back pocket caused me to jump. Corey reached around and grabbed it, squeezing my bottom after. I laughed and hit his chest lightly.

I leaned over to see who had texted me and saw it was Nina.

"Did he leave you?" Was the only thing on the screen.

I snorted and Corey looked up at me, confusion written all over his face.

"It's a long story," I sighed and grabbed the phone out of his hands.

"No Nina, he did not leave me. He's actually really excited,"

"You thought I would leave you because of you being pregnant?"

"I didn't at first, but then I started thinking more. You have a job, Corey. A really hard job. You always sell yourself too short and then take it out on yourself. This might stress you out too much, Crow. Your job is important-"

"My job will never be as important as my family," he cut me off "hell, I'll quit my job if that means getting to care for my wife and my baby. Yes, I do love my job, but you and this baby will always come first."

I nodded, guilt washing over me. I can't believe I thought he would leave me.

"I'm sorry, Corey. I guess I just panicked. I'll have to leave work for a couple months, but I can have Nina fill in for me. But what about you? You can't miss-"

"Hey, family first. Seabs left for a couple days to help Dayna with Carter. I can do that, too. By the time I have to go back, you'll be used to doing what he or she needs. I'll do everything I can for them whenever I can. We'll get through this, okay? Don't panic. This is a huge deal! We're finally going to have a child, (Y/N)! Everyone is going to be so happy for us!"

Nine months and another championship win later, we were placing Daniel Brent Crawford into the Stanley Cup for the first time ever.
