*Jessica's P.O.V*

Later that evening, Nina had barged through the doors into my room watching first hand as I broke down in tears. She instantly pulled me into an embrace, not asking questions as she rubbed comforting circles on my back.

I began to blab- telling her everything that happened. And as soon as I mentioned the dreaded kiss, Nina had pushed me back, getting so pissed before whipping out her phone. She began to dial his number furiously but I pulled it away shaking my head.

"It's not worth of it," I whispered out sniffling slightly.

She suggested that I go to Noah for support, but I instantly cringed at that thought. I told her that story also and it looked as if she was about to murder someone.

She pulled at her hair in frustration and let out a loud groan. She was mumbling profanities under her breath.

"Want to get some food?" She asked, almost pretending as if nothing had happened earlier.

I shook my head as food was the last thing in my mind.

But you can't win with Nina.

She practically dragged me to the dining hall and fed me like a child- 'here comes the airplane' and all of that. After we finished, she dragged me again back to my room, and now we both were laying in my bed, staring at the ceiling.

"I'm sorry, Jessica. I got so stuck with studies and Jake that I didn't get any time to talk to you. I should have guessed it that time when you sent me that text about meeting at your room, but I kept myself busy with Jake," she said sadly, and turned her face towards me.

"It's okay, Nina. I understand that Jake is also important. Please, don't feel bad. I'm alright now," I said giving her an assuring smile.

She shook her head. "No, I should be there for you, but I'm not organizing my time. Jake is becoming so demanding these days, it's hard to come up with everything." She sighed.

I narrowed my eyes at her. "Demanding?"

"Um, yeah. You know we shared everything. I lost my virginity to him, a long time ago but it's not like we have sex every time. You remembered the weekend I went with him?" she asked, lifting her an eyebrow.

I nodded, getting confused.

She swallowed and continued, "I thought we were going to spend an amazing time together, but I was actually disappointed."

"But you told me it was-"

"I only told you the half-truth," she interrupted me.

My eyes widened. "What? Something wrong happened?"

She shook her head and looked at the ceiling. "No, nothing wrong, but I think he has changed. He is not the same Jake I fell in love with. My Jake would have never suggested to bunk the college and skip the classes, but these days, I don't know why he actually made me skip lots of classes."

I looked at her face. There was some strange expression on her face. She was definitely hiding something.

But instead of asking about it, I touched her hand and said, "You are in college Nina. After two years, you both will be out in busy careers. This is when you can spend your quality time together. Maybe, that's why he just wanted be with you, all the time."

She turned her head and looked at me. "You actually have a romantic heart, huh?" She chuckled and looked again at the ceiling. "I agree with you, but the thing is, he is becoming more impatient as well," she added and bit her lower lip.
