A rocking chair story

56 6 4

A chair sits on a crumbling porch
It sways back and forth
Day and night
Its never ending creaking

No one sits in that chair
But someone use to
An old lady
Who lived in the old house

She was kind and gentle
She told the best stories
Kids loved her
As they would a grandmother

But she died suddenly
She died while rocking in the chair
She had a heart attack
Everyone cried that day

Now all that's left of her
Is her house and her chair
Both old
And the chair continues to sway.
