She lay in my arms
Barely breathing
Blood getting on my shirt
Her blood
She looked in my eyes
Barely being able to say
"Kiss it all better"
As if a kiss could take away the pain
He runs away
Dropping the gun
I see it laying on the ground
Smoke coming out of it
"I'll get my revenge"
I say
While she dies in my arms
A tear falls down her face
A year later
I have trouble sleeping
In this cold cell
I hear screams and cries
Threats and whimpers
My memory comes back
Kiss it all better
But its just
A memory
That's all it'll ever be.
