A Hug Instead of Saying Something (Camren)

Chapter Seven

Camila's POV

I came home after work wielding a bag of food and I was so hungry I didn't get lunch today because the girl at the front desk scheduled an appointment over my lunch break. After depositing the food in the kitchen I went to look for Lauren, I knew that McKenzie was staying the night at Lauren's parent's house so she might have been napping.

I didn't find Lauren in her room but I wasn't surprised she hardly slept in there now she was always in my room so that's where I went. I did find Lauren sound asleep on my bed clutching onto a pillow I didn't want to bother her so I grabbed some shorts and a shirt to change out of my work clothes. I went to the bathroom to change my clothes and when I came out I could see that Lauren had moved a little.

I threw my clothes in the dirty clothes hamper and I could hear Lauren stirring in the bed.

"Camz?" She called looking around the room.

When she caught my eye I could automatically see that something was wrong and I rushed over to her.

"Lauren what's wrong?" I asked sitting on the bed beside her.

She sits up and wraps her arms around me and started crying, I returned the embrace rubbing her back gingerly as to calm her.

"You were right Camz." Lauren said after she calmed a bit.

"Right about what Lauren?" I asked her.

"Simeon came by today looking for a missing file that he believes was in David's office, I let him look and he found it. I was holding Milo and he wanted to be put down so I put him down and I got up to fast and I got dizzy for a second but I was fine, Semi insisted that I get some water though. We went to the kitchen and he got me water out of the fridge while I sat, he asked me about my pregnancy then he went on about a promise he made to David that he would watch after me and Kenzie if something were to ever happen to him. It all just started getting very weird for me and I asked him to leave and just when I thought he was about to leave he kissed me." Lauren relayed.

I looked at her and I could tell how extremely hurt she was by this; I always knew that Simeon was no good but I always hoped that I was wrong. Only because that was David's best friend and I never wanted anything to happen to Lauren. One of the worst things ever for me is to see Lauren cry and I have seen that so much over the past several months and it hurt me to my soul.

"What happened after he kissed you Lauren?" I asked hoping he didn't try anything further with her.

"I pushed him away and slapped him then demanded that he got out of my house." She tells me.

"I can't believe he did that to you that was such a fucked up thing for him to do, that makes me so fucking angry Lauren what right does he have to ever put his hands on you. What a selfish fuck he is, you just lost your husband his best friend and he gave no regards about how your feeling. I am so sorry Lauren I know you feel awful about this you shouldn't be taking advantage of and at such a vulnerable time in your life."

"It could have been avoided if I listened to you." She said looking at me wiping tears from her eyes.

"No he shouldn't have tried anything with you; he is the one to blame for this." I tell her.

"They were so close Camila I really didn't see it coming." Lauren voiced.

"That's what makes it more shocking I suppose, but you know now Lauren that's all that matters. He didn't try anything else with you did he, he didn't like force you to do anything you didn't want to do?" I asked cautiously.

"The only thing he forced on me was his lips that was violation enough." She said.

I wiped a tear that rolled from her eye and caressed her cheek. "I'm so sorry sugar, that couldn't have been easy for you David was the last one to kiss you on the lips. If there were to ever be a next time it would be with someone that would make you feel as special as he did, so I get it."
