Chapter Twenty-One

Camila's POV

I have been home for a day or so and Lauren has been very attentive she forced her mom to stay with us to help with the kids because she didn't want me out of her sight. I was fine I didn't need round the clock care but Lauren didn't see it that way, this really shook her up and I knew it was going to take time before she would be fully okay. Lauren has been through so much and if being around me making sure I'm okay would help her then I was more than okay with it.

I couldn't go back to work for an entire month and I really hated that because I loved my job. So right now I was sitting in bed watching 'Cinderella' I loved this movie since I was little. I guess this wasn't too bad I was cozy in bed binge watching my favorite childhood movies, but it has only been a day a I may get tired of this.

Lauren was actually out for the moment she was at her studio she had appointments and I told her not to cancel them. Her mother was here and she wouldn't be gone very long but that didn't keep her from calling me every hour on the hour.

The movie had just started and I was really into it when I felt someone tapping on my leg, I turned to see Tatum looking up at me.

"What are you doing angel?" I said giving her a smile.

"Nothing." She said giving me a small smile.

"Where is nana?" I asked.

"I don't know." She shrugs her shoulders. "Can I stay with you mama?"

"Of course." I carefully pulled her onto the bed and she cuddled up to me.

"What is this?" She asked.

"Cinderella." I tell her.

"Is she a princess?" She wondered.

"She's not yet but she's going to be." I said.

She didn't ask me anything else she just laid there with me watching the movie and playing with my fingers absently. I was happy to be spending a little bit of time with her I didn't get that much time because I work, she was more drawn to Lauren because she was with her most of the time.

"Oh there you are Tatum your mom needs her rest." Clara said coming into the room holding Joey.

"It's okay Clara she's fine." I said.

"Are you sure?" She asked.

I nod. "I'm sure, she'll probably fall asleep and I'll nap with her."

"Alright, but if you need me call me." She said.

"Okay." I said giving her a smile.

We did end up taking a nap but my cell phone started ringing waking me from my peaceful sleep, I turned to grab the phone from the nightstand. I looked at the caller ID and saw that it was the sheriff's department, they were calling about Ally. She apparently fled, where to I don't know but they believe that she was still in the area.

"Hello." I said answering the phone.

"Hi Dr. Cabello, this is Officer Harding I'm calling to inform you that we have Mrs. Margos under custody." He spoke over the phone.

"You have her, where did you find her?" I asked.

"Her husband was informed about the warrant for her arrest she contacted him and he told us where she was located. She was staying at a rundown motel a little outside the city, now we have her." He shared.

"Now what?" I asked curiously.

"Now everything will be processed eventually it will go to trial there she will be convicted, she will most likely be doing jail time." He divulged.
