A Hug Instead of Saying Something (Camren)

Chapter Seventeen

Lauren's POV

I was at my studio trying to put Joey down for a nap; I brought him to work with me like I did with Kenzie when she was his age. He was fighting me today not wanting to down for his nap and it seems like he always did this when he was the sleepiest.

"Come on baby go to sleep." I said rocking the whining baby.

After a few more minutes of fighting the sleep prevailed and he was out for the count, I give Joey a kiss then laid him in his pack & play and got prepared for my next session. I go to my camera to change out the memory card and the lens I had about ten minutes before my clients got here.

"Hey Lo." Normani said approaching me.

I looked up at her and smile. "Hi Mani, did you enjoy lunch." I asked her.

"Yeah I did, I brought you a cookie." She said handing me a bag and I take it.

"Thanks." I said placing it on the table beside me.

"I see that the little guy is down." Mani observed.

I looked over at the pack & play and smiled at my sleeping baby. "Yeah he just went to sleep."

"He should have been down for a nap about an hour ago right?" She asked.

"Yeah he was fighting it; I think he's going through some changes." I said.

"When's your next appointment?"

"They should be here any minute, it's a baby and it's his first photo shoot." I said to her.

"I love the babies they are perfect subjects they don't move that much." Normani mused.

I nod in agreement. "Yeah, he's about a month and a half old so there definitely won't be much moving."

Normani left to do her own thing when my clients came they had the most adorable little baby boy. This shoot was going to take a while because they wanted several poses with different outfit changes. I got all of the props out that I would be using in the shoot and I had all of the backdrops ready.

The baby was very cooperative which made my job so much easier I was now going through all of the shots on my computer asking the parents which ones they would like for their package. After they confirm the portraits they wanted I told them they would be ready at the end of the week.

Joey woke up and I changed his diaper then I gave him a little snack, I called Camila and talked to her briefly because she had to get back to work. It's crazy because I miss her so much when I'm not with her, after making love for the first time it has made us closer.

It's been about a month since then and we have done it a lot since then I couldn't get enough of her. It just got better every time Camila and I did it. It has been going so well with us, so well in-fact Camila and I both decided it was finally time for us to come out as a couple. The only people that knew were our moms and Kenzie, but we know that the rest of our family and friends aren't oblivious they knew there was something here long before we even got together. So this next weekend my mother was inviting everyone over to her house so that we could just tell everyone at once.

My mom was so excited about Camila and I she was always asking how it was going with us and if there is anything we need to talk about just let her know. I was happy that she supported us but my mom has always supported me with anything I do.

Joey was trying to feed me one of his cookies he was babbling to me like he was trying to tell me I needed to eat it.

"I don't want it buddy." I said smiling as he tried to shove it in my face.
