Lauren's POV

"Go get Joey and Tatum; we have to take her to the emergency room."

I looked at Camila. "Emergency room, what is wrong with her?" I asked.

"I think that she has appendicitis Lauren." She said.

"You think."

"Yes I think, appendicitis is hard to diagnose in children but I'm pretty sure that's what it is." Camila said lifting Kenzie off of the bed and putting her back down on the floor. "Do you feel like you have to-''

Just as Camila was asking Kenzie she turns to the side and throws up all over the floor.

"-throw up?" Camila continues. "Go get Tatum and Joey Lauren we need to go." Camila said going to the bathroom most likely getting something to clean up the puke.

I looked at Kenzie and she looked pitiful I stroked her hair and looked her in the face. "It's going to be okay sweetie." I said giving her a kiss on the head before leaving the room to get her sister and brother.

Once we had every one loaded up in the car we made our way to the emergency room at four in the morning. Tatum and Joey were very cranky I would call my mom in an hour or so, so she can come and get them. Camila drove because I wouldn't be able to I keep my eyes on the road because I would keep looking back at Kenzie making sure she was alright. She groaned and held her stomach the entire time I kept telling her she would be okay.

When we were finally at the hospital Camila parked and she told me she would go ahead and take Kenzie in while I put Tatum and Joey into the double stroller.

I was flipping out I didn't want nothing to be wrong with any of my children and if she does have appendicitis that means she would have to have surgery and I didn't want that.

I put the two sleeping children into the stroller reclining the seats so they slept comfortably. I made sure Tatum had her penguin and Joey had his pacifier because they both will flip out without them. I put the diaper bag at the bottom of the stroller then I went into the ER.

I saw Camila sitting in the waiting room waiting for her to get called. She was holding McKenzie in her arms, Kenzie clutched onto her cow while Camila rocked her a little. One of Camila hands was caressing her hair I smiled thinking how natural parenting comes to her.

I took a seat next to them pulling the stroller close to us I looked at Kenzie; I lift a hand to caress her cheek.

"How long do you think we have to wait?" I asked.

"Not long." She told me.

I looked at my child I was so worried about her.

"She's going to be okay Lo; it's a common childhood ailment." She assured.

"I am just sick of hospitals." I divulged.

She gave me an understanding look. "I know how you feel."

We didn't wait long before they called a nurse was able to sit with Tatum and Joey while they slept. My mom would be here shortly to get them anyway so they won't even notice that we're gone.

They did a full workup on Kenzie and ran several labs and confirmed that she did have to get her appendix taken out. They had her surgery scheduled for ten that morning they gave her some medicine to help with the pain.

"Mommy I want to go home." Kenzie whined.

They admitted Kenzie so we were in a room while we wait for them to take her to surgery. Kenzie heard that she had to have surgery and she flipped out, I never seen my child terrified before but she definitely was.
