Camila's POV

After getting Tatum's things situated and drilling her guardian about Tatum's health I told her to bring Tatum in tomorrow around the same time. After she caught a little attitude she said she would bring her in, she looked like she didn't want to be bothered with her but she had no other choice. My heart ached when Tatum left, she was looking back at me with longing eyes. I could tell that she has gone through so much and I know she didn't deserve anymore torment.

Most of these foster parents are just going through the motions hardly any of them actually care about the child or children they're keeping. I could tell that Tatum's foster mother didn't care too much obviously, the bitch fell asleep during the child's checkup.

She was at such a crucial age where she should be getting ample amounts of love; she shouldn't have to worry about anything other than being a kid. I knew this little girl wouldn't leave my mind she snatched up my heart the very moment she smiled and peered her hazel eyes at me.

I thought of her the entire way home she just made that strong if an impression, I had never felt this way before and I had no idea what to do about it. Once I got in the house I was greeted by two little ones and Milo I get on their level and scooped them up.

"Hey babies." I said giving them both kisses.

"Mama I was waiting on you forever." Kenzie exaggerated.

I smiled. "I am so sorry sweetheart there was a little girl that needed my help." I told her.

"Did you make her all better?" She asked.

"I'm working on it kiddo." I said placing another kiss on her forehead. "Where is your mommy?" I asked.

"She's cooking us a yummy dinner." She said.

"Is she, well let's go and see her." I said petting Milo before getting up with Joey in my arms.

I give him a kiss on a cheek as we walked to the kitchen he was chewing on his fingers.

We get to the kitchen and it smelt amazing the smell reminded me of growing up she's definitely making Cuban food. "It smells amazing in here." I said.

Lauren turns to look at me and smiles. "You're home."

"Yeah, seems like I'm just in time also. It smells like my childhood in here." I said walking up to her.

"I was actually thinking about how much I miss my mom's cooking and made her bring me a few recipes. So we are having Cuban tonight." She said.

"I am looking forward to it." I said then I felt wet hands on my face Joey had his slobbery hands on me. "Really buddy I don't want you're spit on my face." I said laughing.

He giggles.

"You're a funny boy." I said tickling him and his laughter filled the kitchen.

I stopped and saw Lauren looking at us with a faint smile on her lips. "He's feeling a lot better that's the first time I heard him laugh all day." I said.

"Well I'm glad he feels better." I said giving him kisses. "I'm going to go get comfortable." I said putting Joey down but he immediately started whining. "I guess he's coming with me." I said.

"Well he hasn't seen you all day." Lauren said.

"Yeah I know, I don't mind." I said smiling at Joey. "Come on Joey."

"I'm coming too." Kenzie said.

I gave Lauren a smile and then the kids and I went to my room.

It so funny how Lauren and I still had separate rooms but she sleeps in my bed every single night. I wonder if that will change because we have never really talked about it, would I move into the master bedroom with her. I honestly wouldn't feel comfortable especially with that bed she shared with her husband. I felt it would be disrespectful if we were to do anything in that bed, even if it was just to hold her. I knew that if I were ever to sleep in that bedroom that bed would have to go.
