Shawn's POV:

"Shawn, come on. Breakfast is ready." My dad shakes my shoulder as I open my eyes. Groggily, I sit up.

"Dad, I'm not hungry." I yawn. He rolls his eyes.

"Shawn Peter Raul, you're mom is going to kill you. You need to eat, you have a recording session today."

"I can't eat." I sigh, pushing the sheets back so I can climb out of bed.

"Ugh. You're going to eat something." He spins on his heel and leaves me alone to get dressed. I pull on a my Kentucky shirt (Don't hate me he has one of these and its the cutest thing when he wears it.) and a pair of black joggers before sluggishly making my way downstairs. Aaliyah is sitting at the table already with her best friend.

"Good morning, sleeping beauty." Aaliyah giggles. I smile. Only she can make me smile right now.

"Good morning!" I reply. My mom slides a plate across the kitchen counter towards me, and my smile fades.

"Mum, I'm not hungry." I complain. She throws a glare at me and turns back to the stove where she flips a pancake.

"Shawn, I get that you miss Gwen, but you need to eat. I know how it feels."

"No, mum. You have no clue how it feels to have your girlfriend halfway across the world for a year and a half." I raise my voice a little. I've reached my breaking point. They say they know how it feels... And it ticks me off.

"Your father works in different places all the time! You are gone for half a year at a time when you're touring! I do know how it feels! I've learned how to deal with it!" She yells back.

"It's different! I get to see you all periodically! I don't get to see Gwen!" My volume matches hers.

I've had enough, so I grab my Jeep keys and my phone and storm out the door, not wanting to hear anymore. I call Andrew on my way to the studio, telling him I'll meet him there.

Gwen's POV:

"Ma'am, your bags?" The taxi driver asks. I glance up from my phone.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I'll just keep them in the back seat with me since I only have two and their small." I reply, adjusting my sunglasses impatiently. I get another text from Andrew as I climb into the back of the taxi.

2:34 PM
From Andrew; To Gwen
Break time just started. He's still in recording room A. He won't come out. He'll be up there for about another half hour. Then we start recording again.

I look up to the taxi driver who is sliding into the driver's seat.

"Where to?" He asks. I give him the address of Shawn's recording studio and tell him to go as fast as he can. We weave through tons of traffic and about twenty minutes later, we pull into the parking lot. I quickly pay the driver and rush inside, my dark brown hair bouncing in the messy bun it's in.

"Hi, I'm Gwen, Shawn's girlfriend. I'm here to surprise him, and I have about-" I look down at my phone, "Five minutes to meet him up there before he starts recording again." I say, out of breath. The receptionist blinks a couple of times.

"I'm sorry, but I can't let you up there." She replies. I groan, and immediately call Andrew so he can come get me. She continues to watch me as I explain to Andrew that he needs to come and bring me up there. I don't hang up until the elevator doors slide open, and he steps out into the lobby.

"Hi, ma'am, Gwen's with me." He smiles politely at the desk attendant. Her eyes go wide.

"Oh, of course. You can leave your bags at the desk, Gwen." She seems embarrassed as I bore my brown eyes into the side of her head. I leave my bags where they are in front of the desk, and follow Andrew into the elevator.

"Okay, so here's the deal. He's not eating, and he's barely ever sleeping. He won't listen to anyone. Especially me. So when someone comes into the room, he'll automatically think it's me. You can do whatever you like, just make it good." Andrew explains, smiling at the last part. I giggle, an idea popping into my head as the elevator reaches the second floor.

"I've got the best idea." I laugh. Andrew nods towards the recording room door, and I wink at him nervously before opening the door.

I'm met with silence as I slide into the room, immediately going onto my tippy-toes, something I've perfected from dancing. I finally catch a glance of Shawn sitting in the booth, his feet up on the desk area.

My heart leaps into my throat with anxiety. I've missed him so much these past couple of months. Studying abroad is harder than it's said to be.

"I already told you, I'm not eating, Andrew." He mumbles as I approach him from behind. He never turns to look at who it is, confirming Andrew's prediction. I smile as I slide my arms around his strong torso and bend down to press my lips to the top of his head. He jumps and spins in the chair, never escaping my grasp.

"Oh my gosh, Gwen!" He exclaims, pulling me onto his lap. I giggle like a school girl as he places light kisses all over my neck and jaw, finishing with a sweet kiss on my lips.

"Hi, baby!" I smile, breaking the kiss.

"I've missed you so much!" His smile is wider than mine, going from ear to ear.

"Yeah, apparently, you haven't been eating. You can't do that. You need to eat and sleep." I reprimand. He hangs his head shyly.

"I will. I swear! I'm just so glad you've come home! No matter how long you're here!"
