61: Prom

Y/N's POV:

"Okay, you can open your eyes." Shawn whispers. I move my hands, him keeping his hands over mine and intertwining our fingers, then open my eyes.

"Oh my gosh! A limo?" I exclaim, looking at the sleek, shiny back car.

"Well, yeah, I mean why not?" He laughs. I take a step forward, making sure to move my dress a little so I wouldn't trip and admire the stretch Cadillac.

"How much did you spend on this?" I ask.

"Not too much. But that doesn't matter, okay? What matters tonight is that we have fun." He grins like a fool. I return his smile sheepishly as Lauren and Ian come up behind him.

"Hey you two! We're here to crash your party!" Ian calls, loudly. Shawn laughs and gives Ian a manly hug while Lauren and I embrace each other gingerly.

"I love your dress!" Lauren compliments. I blush a little.

"Yours too!" I reciprocate the compliment.

"Alright girls, let's head on." Shawn smiles down at me lovingly as the limo driver gets out of the drivers seat and opens the back door. I slide into the car followed by everyone else.

We laugh all the way to the park where the prom is taking place, where we drop almost silent as we take in everything.

"It's gorgeous!" I whisper. Shawn slides his hand over and takes mine in his, tangling our fingers together. There are fairy lights strung up the side walk illuminating the walk to a huge lit up arc over the doors. The limo comes to a stop and not to long after, the back door opens, allowing us out.

"May I have your tickets?" The teacher standing at the door asks as we approach. Shawn pulls the tickets out of his suit pocket and hands the tickets to her.

"Head on in!" She smiles. Shawn grabs my hand and leads me in through the glowing arc.

"It's so pretty!" I exclaim as I walk into the venue. Shawn pulls me too him as the beginning chords to the song 'Find My Way Back' by Eric Arjes begins.

"Awe, Y/N! It's our song!" Shawn says softly, rocking back and forth with me.
