Y/N's POV:

"Oh my god, why does it hurt so bad?" I complain.

"I'm sorry baby. I'm trying to be gentle and slow. It'll feel better here in a minute." Shawn kisses me softly then goes back to concentrating.

"Ow, no stop. I can't do this."

"Y/N, hold on please. I'm almost done." He says. I bite my lower lip to keep myself from crying out in pain."Okay, I've got it. It's out. I'm sorry I hurt you. I can't believe in all of your years of living you've never gotten a splinter."

"Well, there's a first time for everything. I didn't realize how hard it was to get a splinter out." I stare at my hand where the sliver of wood once was.

"That's what happens when you spend too much time at a little kid's playground."
