Y/N's POV:

"I don't know, Shawn. I'm crazy busy. I only have like five minutes to relax a day. And honestly, I spend that time trying to scarf down food. I'm sorry. If I had more time."

-----

Finally. My Saturday off. I step out of my apartment and into the sun to see Shawn standing at the foot of the stairs, holding a small bouquet of flowers.

"Shawn!" I say. He looks up from his watch, and his eyes go wide.

"Y/N, hi! So I understand that you only have five minutes, and you said you couldn't go out with me because you didn't have time. How about this, we can have a five minute date." He explains, offering the flowers to me. I pull my lower lip in between my teeth and take the flowers, gratefully.

"How on earth are you going to do that?" I ask, laughing lightly.

"You have to accept first." He chuckles in response.

"Okay, Mr. Mendes. I accept." I reply. His eyes light up.

"So first, we have to have some dinner. The five minutes start now. Taxi!" He calls. I laugh and watch as a cab pulls up to the curb. Shawn helps me into the car, feeding the driver an address. As soon as Shawn is in the car, the taxi rolls forward about ten feet then pulls to a stop. Shawn helps me out of the car to see a small table set up and two salads sitting on it. Dainty unlit candles stand in the center.

"Oh my gosh." I laugh again. Shawn politely pulls my chair out for me, and I thank him. He takes his seat across from me as I take a bite of the green salad.

"So, you've gotten pretty good at eating quickly, eh?" He asks, taking a sip of his water. I nod, then shovel another bite into my mouth. Someone in a waiters outfit comes and takes both of our plates of salad, then someone else files in after them and replaces the plates with my favorite food. I smile and take a bite.

"My job sure keeps me on my feet. I'm not used to having a gourmet meal like this though." I motion to the plates in front of us. Shawn chuckles and takes another drink of his water. The waiters come back through and pick up our plates. Shawn checks his watch.

"Perfectly on time for the movie! Come on." He motions me towards the curb, hailing a cab quickly as well. The same cab he had hailed the first time pulls up to the curb and Shawn and I quickly climb in. Shawn gives him another address, and the cab rolls another ten feet.

Two chairs are set up with a popcorn container sitting on both. I laugh and take a seat, staring at the TV in the shop window in front of us. The black screen flickers on to a scene from The Notebook. I look over to see Shawn checking his watch as the screen flickers back to black.

"You want some dessert?" He asks.

"Dessert sounds amazing." I smile. He takes my hand, intertwining our fingers.

"We can walk. We have time." He smirks. I swing our hands a little as we cross an alley back to the table and chairs set up. This time the candles are lit, and a piece of cheesecake with a red drizzle adorning the top.

"It's so pretty, Shawn." I smile as I take a seat, immediately diving into the cheesecake. He takes another drink then checks his watch as the waiter swings by and picks up my plate, replacing it with a filled bag.

"I thought I would have them box the meal up for you so you could eat it during the five minutes you have every other day." He says then glances back at his watch. "And time." He says, lightly tapping his hand on the table.

"I had an amazing time, Shawn. Maybe we can do this again sometime. And I promise you'll have longer than five minutes." I pull my lower lip between my teeth as he walks me to my apartment.

"Anytime. I'll text you later."
