I knew those voices but why were they so distant?

That’s what I found my legs doing.
You know that saying ‘there’s always light at the end of the tunnel? Well in this case I was trying to take cover in the darkness from the bright light outside.
Too open which made me feel self conscious.

“Oh…Wake up please!”

I fell asleep?
I forced my eyes open as my whole body jolted from shock. Everyone I knew happened to be around me. I was lying on the couch somehow…tied down?
“What the hell?! Why am I tied down?!” I was thrashing against the restraints.
“Anika! Wait! Don’t move.” Osheianna’s voice I could hear but not see.
“Osheianna! What’s going on?!”
She came around the couch for me to see.
“We think Rayne has something to do with it.”
“I thought he was taken away?”
She sighed “No. He has come back…With determination to collect you.”
