Manchester rarely felt like home. I had no bond I particularly cherished in this town, making my arrival an obligation at the end of every semester. The same feeling was brought back as we landed in Manchester. Mullingar, that little town was welcoming, unlike this huge city. The fact that I came back for getting explanation with my mother, exacerbated the coldness around Manchester.

I was waiting for my luggage that Gretchen Edwards went to get back. She welcomed us with surprise, seeing four persons instead of three. I had attempted to convince Niall to come back for explanation from Helen, too. However, he didn’t want to. He had already tried, on the day Helen put me in charge for searching new suppliers. That’s why she acted very oddly. I guess there was some love lurking in her heart but she would never let it show.

“Hey,” Harry whispered into my ear as he sat on the bench next to me. My body shivered when I heard his voice. I snapped my head towards him and sighed. His green orbs were looking at me with worry. “Are you okay?”

“I’m anxious.” I replied, squeezing my bag in my hands. Harry’s eyes sparkled with worry. Even though we had solved a few things, there was one thing that couldn’t easily solved with I love you’s. My f-ucking addiction. We kept the subject silent until now, but some day we would have to talk about this... So many things to be cleared. My life consisted in complications, I seemingly aimed to solve everything. But it seemed like taking years and other complications chased after me.

“You don’t need to make it right now.” He said, taking my hand in his, intertwining our fingers together. His touch comforted me in a way no one could. I was internally being jubilant, however, it only appeared as a smile on my lips. Time was something I needed. I needed to be ready for so many things, like showing my love for Harry in Manchester, calling Niall my brother or having openhearted conversation with Helen. I wasn’t sure I could call her mother after the lies she nourished me with.

“Miss Sethi, I got everything. Karl is waiting for us outside.” Edwards was in front of me, with my small suitcase and the cappuccino I had ordered. I grabbed it, wrapping my cold hands around the warm container.

Tomlinson and Holman left together in a taxi, towards their respective home while the three of us joined Karl. As always, he welcomed me with a warm smile and opened my door, the sign that everything was back to normality. Manchester was extremely cold so we were all wrapped into our thick coats.

The drive seemed very long as Edwards reminded me of everything I should do the next day and told me everything I missed during my departure. For once in my life, I didn’t feel like doing anything, but lay in my bed, with Harry next to me. At this point, I didn’t even listen to her anymore.

The car finally stopped in front of Sethi’s building. Edwards jumped out in the next second. She seemed to get more confidence while I had been missing. She waited outside, her eyes on the screen, cautiously scheduling my appointments. Harry Styles was a lazy ass compared to the new Gretchen Edwards. Funny.

I knew it wouldn’t last forever. After all the last details to fix about every deal we signed, I should go back Cambridge for my last year. I had nothing to worry about anymore: I had a job.

Harry exited, too. He held the door open for me to go out. I slid out of the black car. The three of us walked towards the front doors. When the doorman spotted me, he immediately opened the door and nodded his head to greet me. I couldn’t wait to reach my mother’s office, away from all the eyes that would scan Harry and me. People’s mockery became stronger since the day Harry brought me on his shoulder to take me out.
