I quickly turned away from him "look I'm not proud of what I did, do you think I enjoy killing humans? Let alone kill one of my brothers." he said hopping down off the table "I don't know, I just know I seen a man die today, not an angel, a man. And I don't know how to handle that." I said with a sigh "I know this can't be easy for you, you're new to all of this." he spoke softly as he stood beside me "that's a major understatement." I said looking over at him. He dropped his head "I don't know what I expected but I didn't do it because I wanted to, I was just protecting you." he said moving his eyes to look at me "an angel protecting me from another angel, wow, I never thought that'd be a thing in my life." I said with a small smile. Gabriel shook his head "No I didn't expect this either, but you humans are great at surprising me." he chuckled "So are you feeling any better? don't want you to barf up on my shoes or anything do you?." he asked with a smirke. I narrowed my eyes at him "shut up, I went through a very traumatic experience asshat." I said with a small laugh "asshat? Hmm," he smiled rubbing his chin "ya asshat, now I'm gonna go change." I said looking down at my shirt and pants splattered with small speckles of blood "ya like I said sorry." he said with an awkward smile before I headed upstairs.

I walked back down "sorry it took so long, I" I paused walking into the kitchen "Gabriel?" I said looking around not seeing him. hmm must've had something to do I thought walking over to the fridge. I sat for a few hours writing before I looked up at the clock noticing the time, I closed my laptop with a sigh I wonder where he is I thought to myself looking out the window. Day turned to night then days into weeks, I had almost forgotten Gabriel until one day at work I was told I had a visitor, thinking it was a new client I hurried to my office "good morning, I'm-" I said before I looked up to see Gabriel sitting in the chair with a smirk. I sighed throwing my head back before I closed my office door "you look damn good all dress for success." he raised and lowered his eyebrows quickly at me "what the hell are you doing here? I thought I was passed all this weird angel nonsense." I said as I sat down behind my desk "well I thought I'd pop in and see how you're doing. Maybe hit the town have a little fun." he said walking over sitting on the edge of my desk "I can't I have a dinner party for Derrick's clients tonight." I sighed looking through my computer "oh well that sounds fun need a date?" he asked leaning over to look at me "No I'm afraid not, Derrick is my date." I said glancing at him then back to my computer "oh, so you and him are an item now, that's fantastic" he said with a small groan "so where is this stud at anyway?" he asked looking out the blinds in to the halls, I looked down at my watch "he should be here in ten minutes. But it's been fun and all but I am incredibly busy." I said looking down at the folder I pulled from my desk "oh ya sure, I got stuff to do anyway. But ah hey before I go, just please stop by that store." he smiled as I quickly looked up at him "did you?" I asked as he disappeared.

"so Mr. Johnson told Susan if she didn't have the numbers by Tuesday the whole account would go up in smoke." Derrick said as he started laughing "oh ya, that's hilarious." I said faking a small laugh "well do you get it, the account is for Anderson's smoke detectors." he continued nudging me a little "ya I got it. Mr, Johnson is such a comedian." I said rolling my eyes while he laughed as we walked into the store. I walked around looking for any sign of Delsin for about ten minutes before Derrick started pushing me to leave "come on we need to go get ready, we have to go prep for the party." he said placing a hand on my waist "just hold on, I'm looking." I sighed trying to hold back my irritation, I walked away from him as he looked at the herbal teas, I turned the corner to the next aisle bumping into someone I looked up about to apologize when the words caught in my throat, Delsin stood smiling down at me "I'm so sorry miss, I didn't see you." he said looking at me a little confused "are you ok?" he asked again looking a little more concerned "oh ya I'm fine, I'm sorry I didn't mean to, um I'm just so clumsy and I don't pay attention." I chuckled awkwardly as he raised an eyebrow at me "excuse me I really do need to go, sorry again." I smiled quickly walking around him. I grabbed Derrick by the arm pulling him out of the store "what are you doing?" he asked resisting me "I need to go, I'll get ready and meet you at your apartment ok, love you bye." I said quickly giving him a kiss then running off "love you too." he shouted at me as I hurried to my car.
