Liam Imagine For Jaquila (Requested)

I woke up at the sound of my phone ringing.

I quickly grabbed it pulling it off charge and putting it to my ear sleepily.

"Hello?" I mumbled.

"Hey Jaquila!" Liam shouted loudly into the phone making me almost drop it.

"Liam!"

"What?" He asked genuinely confused.

"You've just woke me up and shouted in my ear" I laughed at my best friend.

"Oh sorry... Anyway I'm coming over!" He said happily.

"Oh.. Well"

"Ill see you soon" he said hanging up.

The truth is I'm in love with Liam and I've never told him, Ive been wanting to tell him recently because if I don't tell him I can't continue being his best friend, I'd end up ignoring him.

If I tell him I could still have a good chance he won't mind and we'll carry on our friendship.

We never have secrets in our friendship which is why I want to tell him.

But I don't want to tell him yet.. What am I going to do?

Suddenly my thoughts were interrupted by a loud knocking which was clearly Liam's.

I pulled on my cardigan and walked down the stairs opening the door to a bouncy Liam.

"Hey! I brought movies!" He said walking in with toy story.

"Li that's all we ever watched" I giggled.

"Well it's my favourite film" he pouted innocently.

We settled down on the sofa but while Liam was getting lost in the film I was still deep in thought.

Should I tell him?

He seems in such a good mood and what if I spoil it?

"Jaquila?" I was snapped from my thoughts by a worried looking Liam.

"Yeah?" I asked.

"What's up?"

"Nothing" I said furrowing my eyebrows pretending to be confused.

"Come on Jaquila, your my best friend and I can tell something's bothering you, we don't have secrets... So what's up?" He asked putting his arm around me.

In the past when Liam has done this I've always been good at pretending there was something else wrong like a fake argument I've had with a friend and he's believed me... But maybe this time I should tell him.

"Liam you might hate me for this or our friendship could become awkward are you sure you want to know?" I asked.

"Yes of course I do" he said confused.

I took a deep breath.

"I love you, and I don't just mean as a best friend, I always have and I'm only telling you this because like you say, we have no secrets" I blurted quickly.

"You do?" He asked surprised.

"Yes I do, I'm sorry if Ive just made this awkward but I had to tell you--" I was cut off by Liam's lips hitting my own.

"You don't have to explain, Ive always loved you too, but I didn't want to say anything because if I did you might avoid me" he laughed as he pulled away.

"Liam you don't have to say that--"

"I'm not, it's the truth, I've always loved you and no one else, I don't have time for any girls in my life accept for you, I love everything about you and I believe that-" he stopped himself.

"You believe what?" I asked.

"I believe maybe one day... You'll be Jaquila payne" he said quietly.

I laughed and hugged him.

"Ill always love you Liam, and if you still want to be best friends that's fair enough" I said slightly hurt that he might not want to be anything more.

"I don't just want to be best friends" he stated.

"Will you be my best friend AND my girlfriend?" He asked hopeful.

"Yes of course I will" I smiled and he leaned forward and kissed me.

We didn't realise we were on the edge of the sofa and as soon as we pulled away Liam fell and dragged me down to the floor with him.

"Liam!" I said and we both burst out laughing.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to pull you down with me!" He said between laughs.

"Typical" I winked.

"That's what best friends and now boyfriends and for" he said smiling.

My life is now perfect.
