The island became smaller and smaller until you couldn't see it anymore. After eating all that food, you are getting sleepy. You turn to look at what the other two are doing and when you see that they have already fallen asleep, you decide to lay down and do the same. It has been an exciting day. You close your eyes and quickly drift off to sleep.

It is morning when you wake up. The sun has just risen. You don't know how long you've been sleeping, but the other two are still snoring. You sit up and stretch your arms. Since you have nothing else to do, you consider overseeing the area.

It's not like anything dangerous will pop up here. What am I even doing here? I have no idea on where I should go, I just followed them because the marines already thought of me as a pirate. Luffy didn't even ask me to join his crew. I shouldn't just tag along.

Thinking about this makes you feel a bit lonely and lost.

What's wrong with my memories?

You hear something move and turn your head to see Luffy waking up. He yawns and rubs his eyes open.

"Good morning..." he murmurs.

"Morning," you say.

You fully turn around and crawl closer to Luffy, looking at him seriously. "Is it okay if I stick with you until I remember what happened before this? I know you don't need me as a crew member, but I lost my memories and now I have no idea what to do." The longer you spoke, the faster the words were coming out of your mouth. You look down, feeling a bit flustered because of how helpless you must seem.

Luffy puts a hand on your shoulder. "Of course you can! Just follow me until you remember." He flashes you a big smile. You feel relieved and look up at him, smiling softly. "By the way, your fighting is amazing!" His eyes sparkle.

"Really? I didn't do much, though. You and Zoro were much more awesome!" You laugh at his excitement.

"The way you shot the guns right out of their hands was so cool! It's just as fast as my fist, no, maybe even faster!"

Luffy and you have been chatting for a while. You find it easy to talk to him and everything he says sounds really interesting. You found out that the reason why he was in that barrel was because he encountered a whirlpool.

"So you weren't kidnapped or anything?" you ask.

"No, I wasn't, were you?" he asks back.

"I could've been, but it doesn't make sense that I was put in a wooden crate." You show a perplexed look. After a moment of sinking into your thoughts, your eyes wander to the straw-hat that is always on top of Luffy's head.

The weave is loosened and it looks rough. Either he wears it a lot or the hat is really old. Or it could be both. Either way, he seems to like it a lot.

"That's a nice straw-hat you have, it suits you."

You snicker lightly when you see his eyes light up.

He tells you about Foosha Village, where he grew up and met Red Haired Shanks, his idol. Shanks was the reason why Luffy wanted to be a pirate in the first place and also the one who gave him his treasured straw-hat. Luffy made a promise to bring him his hat back once he becomes a great pirate.

Hearing this you root for Luffy to become the great pirate he promised his role model to be. You are amazed by his determination to become the Pirate King.

People who are passionate and do the things they love always shine the brightest.

When you both marvelled at the way Zoro uses three swords at once, he spoke up. "Of course I have to be strong. I am going to become the world's strongest swordsman."

You are startled because he suddenly spoke, not knowing how long he's been awake and listening. In your opinion, Zoro is just as passionate with his swords, as Luffy is to be a pirate. Suddenly, you remember Zoro talking about a promise he made and you become curious.

"Can you tell me about the promise you made?" you ask interested.

Zoro crosses his arms and closes his eyes. "Well, I guess I can tell you about it."

After listening to the story, you were for one, really sad for him, but also really surprised. Both of them have made their decision at such a young age. Both of them are fighting hard to hold their promises and make their dreams come true. It feels nice to know a little more about the people you are travelling with. Sadly, you couldn't tell them anything about yourself.

"I'll root for you guys to make your dreams come true!" you clench your fist and say resolutely.

The two smile at you.

"What's your dream Y/N?" Luffy asks.

"She probably does not remember," Zoro intervenes before you could answer.

"Isn't your dream something you would remember, even after you lost your memories? Just like your name!"

"You know, sometimes people do not even remember their names."

While they were talking back and forth like that, you thought hard about his question. You think that Luffy is right. A dream is a strong desire from deep within you. It sticks with you your entire life.

That means I don't have a dream?

"Does wanting to see you guys fulfil your dreams count as a dream?" you ask with a light tone.

"No, it doesn't! Someone else's dream can't be your dream," Luffy replies.

You thought he would say that. You let your head sink down, feeling a bit discouraged. A feeling of emptiness engulfs you, it is hard to face forward when you don't know where you are headed to. Suddenly you feel something warm wrap itself around the top of your head.

Luffy took off his straw-hat and put it on your head.

"Don't worry about it. Just have fun and do whatever you want. I'm sure you'll figure it out along the way."

His words heartened you. Because his hand is pushing down the straw-hat onto your head, he couldn't see the big smile your lips are forming, the same way you couldn't see his even bigger smile, which is sincerely devoted to you.
